Wow 110 Steem given away! It has been a busy few days since I started my Great Steem Giveaway. I've been reflecting on why I did it and how it has been going, all in all, I think it is achieving the desired effect.
Update
I have given away 110 Steem so far, nobody has been paid yet but that's because my power down is still a few days away, and so I'll start sending out the promised Steem as soon as that hits.
Originally I felt like I was going to give out 50 steem, however the amount of amazing comments has led me to give out much more.
So I will end the competition now, as I feel that is a good amount.
This has been one of my more enjoyable competitions because of the amount, and quality of the entries, so expect another similar one soon!
Spam
I am probably still getting the same amount of spam comments, however they are now getting drowned out by the great comments I've been getting.
Debate
I love hearing other people's opinions on matters that are important to me. Therefore I consider it a success in this area, as I have been involved in a couple of great debates so far.
Value
Ever since I joined Steemit I have been a huge advocate for people who add value to the blogs of others by adding either great comments or relevant links to other articles either on or off Steemit. So I'm enjoying the extra value brought to my posts, and am glad I can reward it.
Followings
A great way to find people to follow is via the comment section, so I have found many more people to track whilst doing this little experiment!

Hopefully I will run this again soon, or something similar, as I really think we got something going here!
