En mi caso, el sábado fue un día especial, porque después de mucho tiempo, llevé a mi mamá a comer, es decir, un día para consentirla y cerrar la cocina de la casa. Además no fue cualquier comida, ella como una verdadera fanática de las series coreanas, tenía rato queriendo probar Ramen, y estoy feliz de poder decir que el sábado logramos cumplir ese sueño.

For me, Saturday was a special day because, after a long time, I took my mom out to eat—a day to spoil her and give the kitchen a break. Plus, it wasn’t just any meal. As a true fan of Korean dramas, she’d been wanting to try ramen for a while, and I’m happy to say that on Saturday we made that dream come true.
En Caracas, fuimos a un pequeño restaurante llamado el Cachicamero, ubicado en la plaza de los museos, Bellas Artes, desde el principio me gustó el restaurante porque es un lugar al aire libre muy agradable y pacífico para comer.
In Caracas, we went to a small restaurant called El Cachicamero, located in the Plaza de los Museos, Bellas Artes. I liked the restaurant right away because it’s a very pleasant and peaceful outdoor spot to eat.
La atención fue increíble, nos dieron las recomendaciones de la casa y mi mamá decidió pedir para ambas una entrada tenders crispy de Mero, estaban rebozados en panko con salsa anguila, mayonesa y ajonjolí, un ramen de camarones llamado Dragón Ball (me da mucha risa ese nombres) y una bebida llamada El Cachicamero era una bebida de piña, papelón, jengibre, limón y moringa. Yo me fui por una opción más sencilla, pedí un Sushi Ball, unas bolitas de arroz rellenas como camarones y de bebida llamada Agua de Dios, tenía flor de jamaica, papelón, piña y limón.
The service was incredible; they gave us the house recommendations, and my mom decided to order crispy grouper tenders as an appetizer for both of us—they were breaded in panko with eel sauce, mayonnaise, and sesame seeds—a shrimp ramen called Dragon Ball (that name really makes me laugh), and a drink called El Cachicamero, which was a mix of pineapple, brown sugar, ginger, lemon, and moringa. I went for a simpler option; I ordered a Sushi Ball—little rice balls stuffed with shrimp—and a drink called Agua de Dios, which had hibiscus flower, brown sugar, pineapple, and lemon.
No tardaron mucho en traernos las bebidas y la los tenders de pescado. Mi mamá y yo quedamos encantadas con la entrada, estaban BUENÍSIMOS, y super calientes, recién salidos de la freidora y el pescado estaba muy fresco. Las bebidas estaban muy ricas y muy refrescantes para el calor que hacía, particularmente a mi mamá le gustó mucho el toque de jengibre de la suya.
It didn't take long for them to bring us our drinks and the fish tenders. My mom and I were delighted with the appetizer—they were DELICIOUS and piping hot, fresh out of the fryer, and the fish was very fresh. The drinks were delicious and very refreshing in the heat; my mom especially loved the hint of ginger in hers.
Ahora bien, cuando el mesero trajo el Ramen, quedé impresionada de lo grande que era y del montón de camarones que tenía, mamá disfrutó muchísimo comerse ese plato, practicar con los palitos comiéndose los fideos y experimentando todos los sabores, en un momento me dijo feliz “Me siento en una serie coreana”, me pareció muy cuchi y mi corazón quedó llenito de amor al poder compartir con ella, complacerla y pasar un rato diferente.
Now, when the waiter brought the ramen, I was impressed by how big the bowl was and the huge amount of shrimp it had. Mom really enjoyed eating that dish—practicing with chopsticks to eat the noodles and savoring all the flavors. At one point, she happily told me, “I feel like I’m in a Korean drama.” I thought that was so cute, and my heart was filled with love being able to share this moment with her, make her happy, and have a unique experience.
El lugar es 100% recomendado, ahora mi mamá quedó en volver a ir para que mi papá pruebe el Ramen. Ella quedó fascinada, aunque ahora dice que su próximo antojo es comer dumplings, ya les contaré que tal la experiencia.
