Hello everyone! back here again and I know I have been a little lost but I have been doing so many things, things that I have to tell you and for which I am very happy and excited, but also nervous. This day I am going to start telling you that soon I am going to get married, yes as you read, Pawel and I are getting married and to celebrate my bachelorette party some nice Polish friends invited me to an amazing place in Sosnowiec, a Spanish tapas bar or restaurant called Tapas Bar Maya.
La verdad debo confesar que me soprendió un poco que en esta parte de Polonia haya un restaurante español, pero me encanta que exista, y me gustó tanto todo en este lugar que por supuesto tengo muchas ganas de volver pronto. También debo agradecer a las chicas por encontrar este lugar especialmente para mí y por hacerme pasar un rato tan agradable y divertido porque a veces no podiamos entendernos pero intentabamos hacerlo.
I must confess that I was a bit surprised that in this part of Poland there is a Spanish restaurant, but I love that it exists, and I liked so much everything in this place that of course I am looking forward to come back soon. I must also thank the girls for finding this place especially for me and for making me have such a nice and funny time because sometimes we couldn't understand each other but we tried to do it.
La gerente o dueña del lugar es una chica genial también que además habla español y converso un poco conmigo en español y con las chicas en polaco, entonces claro que me sentí muy a gusto este día. Como vieron el lugar es impecable y me encanta el diseño, una bandera de España en cada mesa y además afuera en la entrada también tienen una bandera grande, por lo cúal es imposible no reconocer el lugar. Una vez llegamos, nos trajeron el menú, el cual por supuesto tiene los nombres de sus tapas en español pero la descripción de ellos está en polaco. Maya (la gerente del bar) trajo para mí un menú en inglés pero dijo que si yo tenía alguna duda, podía preguntarle y ella me lo explicaría en español, que por cierto, su español es muy bueno.
The manager or owner of the place is also a great girl who also speaks Spanish and conversed a little with me in Spanish and with the girls in Polish, so of course I felt very comfortable this day. As you saw the place is impeccable and I love the design, a Spanish flag on each table and also outside at the entrance they also have a big flag, so it is impossible not to recognize the place. Once we arrived, they brought us the menu, which of course has the names of their tapas in Spanish but the description of them is in Polish. Maya (the bar manager) brought me a menu in English but said that if I had any questions, I could ask her and she would explain it to me in Spanish, which by the way, her Spanish is very good.
Maya, también nos explicó que normalmente para una persona es suficiente dos o tres tapas, y nos dijo que tienen una promoción con algunas de las tapas, es decir que si ordenas 3 de algunas de esas tapas, pagas solo 30 zlotys, es decir, un poco menos de 7 dólares, y creanme que realmente valen demasiado la pena, incluso debo confesar que los precios son realmente muy buenos.
Maya, also explained to us that normally for one person is enough two or three tapas, and she told us that they have a promotion with some of the tapas, that is to say that if you order 3 of some of those tapas, you pay only 30 zlotys, that is to say, a little less than 7 dollars, and believe me they are really worth it, even I must confess that the prices are really very good.
Para empezar, las chicas y yo por supuesto que ordenamos cada una 3 de las tapas en promoción, las cuales sirven en un plato, y además ordenamos una limonada para acompañarlas. Yo ordené el pollo en salsa de cacahuetes, tapa con ajo y patatas bravas y creanme que todo estaba como para chuparse los dedos, es decir, absolutamente delicioso y como dije antes no puedo esperar a volver a este lugar espectacular.
For starters, the girls and I of course each ordered 3 of the tapas on promotion, which they served on a plate, and also ordered a lemonade to go with it. I ordered the chicken in peanut sauce, tapa with garlic and patatas bravas and believe me everything was finger licking good, I mean absolutely delicious and as I said before I can't wait to go back to this spectacular place.
Seguidamente para compartir entre todas, las chicas y yo decidimos ordenar un servicio de nachos y churros, y ufff, solo pienso en ello y se me hace agua la boca de nuevo. Tenia tanto tiempo sin comer churros y estos estaban tan deliciosos que decidimos ordenar otro servicio, entonces ya se podran imaginar lo deliciosos que estaban, incluso la salsa con la que venian acompañados estaba demasiado deliciosa.
Then to share between all of us, the girls and I decided to order a service of nachos and churros, and ufff, I just think about it and my mouth waters again. I had so long without eating churros and these were so delicious that we decided to order another service, then you can imagine how delicious they were, even the sauce with which they were accompanied was too delicious.
Para finalizar, también ordenamos un café con leche cada una, y debo decir que aunque no probé todas las tapas de su menú, estoy segura que no hay nada malo en este lugar, todo estaba muy delicioso. Y estoy feliz porque fue un gran momento en un lugar increíble. Así que si algún día visitan Sosnowiec, no duden en visitar este lugar que estoy segura les va a encantar tanto como a mí. To finish, we also ordered a latte each, and I must say that although I didn't try all the tapas on their menu, I'm sure there's nothing wrong with this place, everything was very delicious. And I'm happy because it was a great time in an amazing place. So if you ever visit Sosnowiec, don't hesitate to visit this place I'm sure you will love it as much as I did.
