Hello everyone! yes, although I'm supposed to be resting because it's getting closer and closer to the birth of our baby (maybe tomorrow after our doctor's appointment hahaha) the truth is that I didn't want to stop preparing a craving I had for days because after the birth of Olivia I will be busy and I don't know when I'll use the mixer again, so I took advantage of the time and as you read in the title of this post I prepared with my husband a delicious moist chocolate cake covered with chocolate and it is so easy to prepare that I'm sure you will love it.
Ingredientes:
- 210 g de harina de trigo
- 175 g de mantequilla
- 4 huevos
- 175 g de azúcar
- 175 ml de leche
- 21 g de cacao
- 140 g de chocolate para postre (yo usé 50% cacao)
- 1 cdta de polvo de hornear
- 1 cdta de bicarbonato de sodio
Ingredients:

- 175 g sugar
- 175 ml milk
- 21 g cocoa
- 140 g of chocolate for dessert (I used 50% cocoa)
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
Preparación // Preparation
Para empezar, vamos a tamizar y poner en una taza la harina, el cacao, el bicarbonato de sodio y el polvo de hornear y revolvemos con una cuchara hasta que se integren bien todos los ingredientes.
To begin, sift the flour, cocoa, baking soda and baking powder into a bowl and stir with a spoon until all the ingredients are well integrated.
Seguidamente vamos a derretir la mantequilla en una olla con la leche a fuego bajo. Una vez se derrita toda la mantequilla vamos a agregar el chocolate en trozos y revolvemos hasta que se derrita todo también. Apagamos el fuego y dejamos enfriar.
Next we are going to melt the butter in a pot with the milk over low heat. Once all the butter is melted, add the chocolate pieces and stir until everything is melted as well. Turn off the heat and let it cool.
Ahora en otra taza vamos a poner el azúcar y los huevos y batimos hasta que estén a punto de nieve, cuando consigamos ese punto, vamos ahora a agregar la mezcla de leche, mantequilla y chocolate y en seguida los ingredientes secos y comenzamos a batir otra vez hasta conseguir una mezcla homogénea.
Now in another cup we are going to put the sugar and the eggs and beat until they are stiff, when we get that point, we are now going to add the mixture of milk, butter and chocolate and then the dry ingredients and start beating again until we get a homogeneous mixture.
Y listo, tenemos la mezcla de nuestra torta la cual pusimos en un molde de 21 cm al que anteriormente le colocamos papel de horno y además engrasamos. Llevamos a hornear nuestra torta por 50 minutos a 170° C. Apagamos el horno y la dejamos reposar allí adentro por unos 10 minutos. Una vez pasaron los 10 minutos sacamos del horno y llegó el momento de poner un glaseado de chocolate.
And ready, we have the mixture of our cake which we put in a 21 cm mold to which we previously placed baking paper and also greased. Bake our cake for 50 minutes at 170° C. Turn off the oven and let it rest in there for about 10 minutes. Once the 10 minutes were over, we took it out of the oven and it was time to put a chocolate glaze on it.
Hay distintas maneras de preparar glaseado de chocolate, nosotros lo hicimos usando 75 g de mantequilla y 160 g del mismo chocolate que usamos para preparar la torta. Derretimos la mantequilla junto con el chocolate a fuego bajo y dejamos enfriar solo un par de minutos para en seguida decorar nuestra torta con este.
There are different ways to prepare chocolate frosting, we did it using 75 g of butter and 160 g of the same chocolate we used to prepare the cake. We melt the butter together with the chocolate over low heat and let it cool for a couple of minutes and then decorate our cake with it.
No saben el delicioso olor que salía de nuestra cocina, pusimos todo el glaseado de chocolate encima de nuestra torta y con la ayuda de una cuchara lo esparcimos por toda la torta. Y listo, no pasaron un par de minutos cuando ya estabamos probando esta delicia. De verdad les recomiendo esta receta, nuestra torta quedó tan húmeda y deliciosa que no hemos parado de comer. Si desean pueden meter la torta tapada a la nevera pero yo les recomiendo que no, pueden reservar afuera tapada y van a seguir disfrutando de una torta suave. Espero que les haya gustado!
You don't know the delicious smell that came out of our kitchen, we put all the chocolate icing on top of our cake and with the help of a spoon we spread it all over the cake. And that was it, it wasn't even a couple of minutes later when we were already tasting this deliciousness. I really recommend this recipe, our cake was so moist and delicious that we haven't stopped eating it. If you want you can put the cake covered in the fridge but I recommend you not to, you can keep it covered outside and you will still enjoy a soft cake. I hope you liked it!
