Son muchos los emprendimientos de comida que han surgido durante el último año, sobretodo aquí en la ciudad de Caracas. Cada vez que accedo a Instagram para entretenerme un rato se cruzan en mi camino publicidades de emprendimientos de comida que, hasta el momento, jamás había visto en mi vida. Cada vez que me topo con una de estas publicidades me pregunto cuál debería de ser la estretagia correcta de los empredimientos para sobresalir y convencer al consumidor de que hay que elegirlos a ellos y no a otro emprendimiento o simplemente irse por el lugar seguro de comida que nunca nos ha fallado. Cuando finalmente la publicidad ha llamado mi atención y termino dando click a la cuenta de instagram para ver sus publicaciones es ahí donde la respuesta es clara para mí: la parte visual es sumamente importante y es el gancho perfecto para atraer a más personas...o bueno, eso es lo que yo considero.
Desde hace un par de meses atrás había estado viendo mucha publicidad de un emprendimiento de hamburguesas llamado Comeccs que realmente no es muy reciente que digamos, han estado operativos desde 2021, pero últimamente el enganche que han tenido por las redes ha sido mayor. Lo que más había llamado mi atención de este empredimiento de hamburguesas por delivery es el esfuerzo tan grande que invierten en su imagen tan aesthetic y que, básicamente, fue por eso que yo caí redondita en la trampa. Lo segundo que más había llamado mi atención es que como los dueños de este emprendimiento fueron (o son, aún no lo tengo claro) estudiantes de la Universidad Central de Venezuela, ofrecen delivery gratis si el pedido va con destinto a cualquier lugar dentro de esta Universidad....nada mal, ¿eh?
Entre una cosa y otra, hubo un día que no llevé almuerzo a la Universidad porque realmente no pensaba en que tendría que quedarme hasta tarde, así que de inmediato pensé en que las hamburguesas de Comeccs serían una excelente opción para probar por primera vez.

Since a couple of months ago I had been seeing a lot of publicity from a burger startup called Comeccs that really is not very recent, they have been operating since 2021, but lately the hook they have had through the networks has been greater. What had caught my attention the most about this burgers for delivery venture is the great effort they invest in their aesthetic image and that, basically, is why I fell for it. The second thing that had caught my attention was that since the owners of this venture were (or are, I'm still not sure) students of the Universidad Central de Venezuela, they offer free delivery if the order is destined to any place within this University.... not bad, huh?
Between one thing and another, there was a day that I didn't bring lunch to the University because I didn't really think I would have to stay late, so I immediately thought that Comeccs' hamburgers would be an excellent option to try for the first time.

Ese día mi pedido consistió en una Burger Crujiente que contenía: pollo crujiente, queso americano, cebolla caramelizada, pepinillos, lechuga y salsa BBQ. Adicional a la hamburguesa quise anexar al pedido una ración de papas fritas por el costo de $1 extra, por lo que mi pedido tuvo un costo total de $8. Realmente no me pareció excesivamente costoso, pero el momento decisivo sería cuando probara la hamburguesa.
La atención vía WhatsApp fue muy rápida y amable. Siempre estuvieron atentos justo al momento de yo escribirles y el plus de todo esto es que mi pedido llegó muy rápido, literalmente fueron entre 10 a 15 minutos desde el momento en que hice el pago hasta que el chico del delivery me estaba avisando que ya había llegado. Así que en atención y tiempo de delivery yo les doy un 10/10.

The service via WhatsApp was very fast and friendly. They were always attentive right when I wrote to them and the plus of all this is that my order arrived very quickly, literally 10 to 15 minutes from the moment I made the payment until the delivery guy was telling me that it had arrived. So in attention and delivery time I give them a 10/10.
Como les comentaba al inicio, una de las cosas que más me agradó desde un inicio de este empredimiento fue la imagen visual que les ofrecen a sus clientes. Desde la caja en donde se encuentra la hamburguesa y la bolsa en donde te entregan tu pedido tienen un diseño 100% único del emprendimiento y, a decir verdad, esto es algo que a muchas personas les llama la atención. De hecho, cuando estaba sentada comiendo mi almuerzo, un par de chicas pasaron y de inmediato reconocieron el diseño de la bolsa y de la caja, y no se inmutaron al decirme: "¿esas son las hamburguesas de Comeccs?, las hemos visto mucho por Instagram, ¿qué tal son?" Esto fue algo bastante chistoso porque la chicas se quedaron ahí esta que yo probé la hamburguesa para ver mi expresión de momento foodie. Esto realmente no me incomodó, fue bastante chistoso y me sentí realmente como en el papel de Foodie. Pero ok, a lo que iba, en cuanto a diseño e imagen también le doy a Comeccs un 10/10 porque simplemente la imagen gráfica es una hermosura, tal y como pueden apreciar en las fotografías.
Ahora sí, el momento de la verdad: evaluar el sabor y la calidad. La hamburguesa me pareció bastante grande y no escatimaba con la cantidad de ingredientes que poseía. El contraste de lo salado de los pepinillos con el toque dulzón de la Salsa BBQ era una cosa de otro mundo, sumando al hecho de que el pollo estaba sumamente crujiente y el sabor era bastante bueno, tenía el condimento justo para que contrastara a la perfección con el resto de los sabores, eso sí no noté demasiadas cebollas caramelizadas y eso fue algo que me puso un poco triste. El pan también estaba en su punto perfecto porque, digo, a veces algunos panes se sudan un poco debido a la alta temperatura y quedan con una consistencia que particularmente detesto. Lo que sí puedo decir que me decepcionó un poco fue la cantidad de las papas fritas, ¡era muy poquitas! pero las rescato porque estaban buenísimas, la textura era perfecta. Tanto así que me atrevo a decir que han sido las mejores papas fritas que he probado en mucho tiempo. En líneas generales, en cuanto al sabor y calidad les doy un 8,5/10 quitándoles un punto por el tema de la cantidad de las papas y 0,5 por lo de las cebollas caramelizadas.

But ok, what I was getting to, in terms of design and image I also give Comeccs a 10/10 because simply the graphic image is beautiful, as you can see in the pictures.
Now it was time for the moment of truth: evaluating taste and quality. I thought the burger was quite big and did not skimp on the amount of ingredients it had. The contrast of the salty pickles with the sweet touch of the BBQ Sauce was something out of this world, adding to the fact that the chicken was extremely crispy and the flavor was quite good, it had the right seasoning to contrast perfectly with the rest of the flavors, but I didn't notice too many caramelized onions and that was something that made me a little sad. The bread was also just right because, I mean, sometimes some breads get a little sweaty due to the high temperature and have a consistency that I particularly hate. What I can say that I was a little disappointed was the quantity of the fries, it was very little! but I rescue them because they were great, the texture was perfect. So much so that I dare to say that they were the best fries I have tasted in a long time. Overall, in terms of taste and quality I give them an 8.5/10, taking one point off for the quantity of the fries and 0.5 for the caramelized onions.
Creo que el tema de la comida a veces se trata de un todo y, definitivamente, estas hamburguesas me gustaron en todos los sentidos existentes. Desde el sabor hasta su presentación e imagen gráfica me parecieron totalmente diferentes. Yo creo que esta no será la última vez en que pida por delivery hamburguesas de Comecss. I think food is sometimes about the whole and I definitely liked these burgers in every way. From the taste to their presentation and graphic image I found them totally different.
