Ginisang Munggo (Mung Bean Soup)
is a savory Filipino soup made with mung beans, garlic, tomatoes, onions, malunngay (moringa leaves), and fish sauce (patis). Traditional versions frequently include pork, fish (tinapa or daing), or other seafoods such as shrimp.
Our vegan version of this Filipino classic contains only eight ingredients and is high in fiber and protein.
Mung beans: Mung beans are a popular legume used in both sweet and savory Filipino dishes. If you like Ginataang Munggo, you'll like Ginisang Munggo. Make sure to use non-soaked, dried mung beans for this recipe.
Pork: i also add pork in my monggo stew for more savouring. It can make the stew be more flavorable.
Moringa or Spinach Leaves: Moringa, also known as malungay, is a popular leafy green in Filipino cooking due to its numerous health benefits and mild flavor. If you can't find moringa at your local grocery store or Asian market, fresh spinach is a good substitute.

Onion and garlic: An essential base in most soups, the flavor of this soup begins with a generous amount of onion and garlic. We prefer freshly minced garlic to powder, but powder can be used in a pinch.
Tomatoes: We prefer freshly diced tomatoes, but if necessary, use 12 a can of drained and rinsed diced tomatoes.
Oil: To sauté the aromatics, use a neutral oil such as vegetable oil or avocado oil. If you want to make this mung bean soup oil-free, replace the oil with a splash of water or broth.
i use iodize salt to balance a salty taste add more is tasty.
i add knorr pork cube to make more tasty and flavourful.
i add some vinegar, i like it to have sour taste and help my dish longer and stay fresh cooked.
i add black pepper, i like some spicy there’s have a good benifits good for stomach as a fiber.
