I've got simply no idea why my posts' images are not showing up. It's pretty annoying, and depressing. To be frank, I've made a lot of scheduled posts and well, there might be a lot more posts like that down the line. To fix each and every post, all the while with football season coming up and UFC events and other sports events coming, seems like a pretty unrealistic task. I'm just gonna grind through it and keep blogging. Hopefully the problem fixes itself, who knows.
But anyway, this post is about the New York Jets, the number nine ranked team in my 2023 NFL Power Rankings. I hesitate to place the Jets this high since they have struggled mightily as a franchise for just about the past half a century, but this past offseason they added future Hall of Fame QB Aaron Rodgers and a top notch running back in Dalvin Cook. I personally ranked both Rodgers and Cook at #5 in their position groups in the entire NFL!
Adding top five talent at premium offensive positions to a Jets team that went 7-10 in 2022, and had a top five defense to boot, seems like a really good recipe for success.
Another really interesting and promising aspect of the Jets is their overall youth and their elite youth. The Jets have BOTH the reigning Offensive AND Defensive Rookies of the Year in CB Sauce Gardner and WR Garrett Wilson. That's a rare and unique situation. Aaron is not just joining some random young team with promise. The Jets have some real talent.
Rodgers is aging but seems motivated. He's saying all of the right things in interviews. Dalvin Cook is not alone as a running back either, the Jets still have second year running back Breece Hall to share the rock with.
The Jets have a tough schedule, but the Jets should be a tough team themselves. The AFC East is going to be very fascinating in 2023.
