En julio del año pasado como medida ante los problemas eléctricos en mi ciudad, comprarnos un ventilador debido que el aire acondicionado de la habitación principal de donde vivimos opera con 220 V, y cuando falla el servicio eléctrico y queda una sola fase, obviamente no podíamos encender el aire, por tal razón compramos este ventilador.
First time doing maintenance on 42" tower fan

Pasado algunos meses tome el ventilador para hacer el respectivo mantenimiento de retirar el polvo que acumula, pero sorprendentemente no pude desarmarlo para acceder hasta la turbina y el motor, tenia entendido que este tipo de ventiladores usualmente traen un panel que se retira para poder acceder y hacer la limpieza de la parte interna, pero este no lo tenia, asi que desisti en ese momento con la excusa de investigar y hacerlo luego.
Grave error dejar las cosas para después, ese investigar para hacerlo bien después, se convirtió en varios meses y cuando volví a tomar el ventilador note lo descuidado que fui porque la acumulacion de polvo era extrema, asi que esta vez si o si debía descubrir cómo abrirlo y acceder a la turbina.

En la parte posterior tiene cuatro tornillo que al aflojar y retirar la tapa no salía, resulta que tiene varios clip que la sujetan y no sabía qué tan delicados podría ser porque el material plástico no parece muy resistente. Asi que con paciencia fui haciendo poca fuerza hasta por fin soltar todos los clips.

La acumulacion de polvo en la turbina y el motor no era normal, obviamente no sería suficiente con un soplador para retirar tanto sucio, debía desarmar por completo para lavar con agua y jabón.

Para mi sorpresa los sujetadores de la turbina son muy parecidos a los de un aire acondicionado, por lo tanto fue sencillo poder retirar la turbina, un tornillo que sujeta el eje del motor y dos en la parte alta que sujetan la bocina.

Ya con la turbina fuera, primero con la ayuda de una brocha y una pequeña aspirador hice la primera limpieza de retirar el exceso de polvo, solo sacudirlo sería perjudicial para la salud, utilice mascara y con la ayuda de la aspirador fue poco lo que se rego el polvo.
