Hello Hive folks,
today I show you another image from my little series "Lines".
(You can find my first shot of the series here: ➡️ Lines Part 1)
In this shot I mainly moved the camera (panning and rotating). In parts, the light was also moved.
The lines on the outside were created with a light pen from Lightpainting Paradise. The pen was placed in front of the camera and then the camera was panned past the light at different angles, resulting in this pattern at the end. I started the exposure with my Sigma 28-70 mm lens and swapped lens (and Trpiod) during the exposure to my Samyang 14 mm for the second part.
The light figure in the middle is created with an LED strip and a bunch of fibre optics. The camera was mounted on my Camera Rotation Tool. The two tools in the picture were placed on an old bicycle rim and rotated during the exposure.
4x90° rotation and the image is done.
Total exposure time: 796 sec.
Samyang 14 mm
Sigma 28-70 mm
Camera Rotation Tool (CRT)
Nikon D750
What is Camera Rotation?
Camera Rotation is a Light Painting technique that falls into the category of kinetic Light Painting. The CRT (Camera Rotation Tool) is a device which allows the camera lens axis to be rotated during a single exposure.
⚠️
As always, this work was created in a single exposure. Nothing is added or removed in post processing.
