Sometimes the night feels so long, and sleep is not the end of the day. Making soup to enjoy the night might be a good choice to live.
Cooking Tofu Soup with Egg, Corn, and Meatballs.
That night, it was cold. After the rain. Also, my thoughts don't want to sleep yet. My mind is still happily telling me to look at the photos of the food. It makes me hungry even though I've had dinner.
I walked to the refrigerator, looking for ingredients that could be mixed together to speed up the cooking time. Or at least there will be ingredients that allow me to have food that makes me calm with a way of working that is not tiring.
Say Yes To Soup
The soup was the first thing I thought of when I found some ingredients in the form of corn, meatballs, tofu, and an egg.
I can cook all the ingredients at once because they can cook at the same time. Only, here I have to boil the corn first.
But that doesn't matter at all about boiling corn. That's because I can prepare other ingredients such as chopping up the ingredients and smoothing the seasoning ingredients.
Let's see how I prepare all the ingredients to make a delicious and warm soup.
THE INGREDIENTS
- one young corn that is still soft in texture and tastes sweet.
- tofu, about 150 grams
- an egg, beaten well
- bay leaves
- Spring onions
- ingredients for mashed spices: onion, garlic, candlenut, ginger.
- salt and pepper to taste
- Soy sauce to taste
HOW TO MAKE IT
STEP 1
Separate the corn from the corn cob. Do it carefully so that not much corn meat is left on the corn cob.
STEP 2
Boil the corn until cooked. Then while waiting for the corn to cook, prepare the spices and other ingredients.
STEP 3
Blend all the ingredients for seasoning, namely onion, garlic, ginger, and candlenut. After the corn on the cob has cooked, heat the oil. And cook the spices that have been mashed.
STEP 4
Then add the spices, as well as soy sauce to taste according to your taste. Don't forget to correct the taste after adding salt and pepper. Cook until boiling.
STEP 5
Insert the beaten egg when you're done correcting the taste of the gravy.
STEP 6
Stir continuously to get a smooth egg texture. But if you want a slightly lumpy egg texture on the gravy, then stir occasionally.
STEP 7
Add all ingredients including boiled corn. Then cook until boiling.
STEP 8
Serve the soup while it's warm with a sprinkling of spring onions or chilies.
I love the texture of the beaten egg in the gravy turning out to be soft, and it blends in perfectly with the tofu. The sweetness of the corn enriches the texture and flavor of the soup, which is enhanced by the chewiness of the meatballs.
A
It was a long night after dinner. And the warm soup helps me stay calm and fight to overthink. At least delicious food can help my wild mind to be quiet and not to overthink.
