Hello everyone!
A week ago, my husband's grandmother left us from this dark world. He happily left with a smile, it seemed at the funeral yesterday, he was no longer sick.
I also came home from my in-laws' house and tried to clean the house that we had left for 3 days, we stayed at my in-laws' house to help with the funeral process and many other things.
When I got home, I found 3 corns that I kept in the refrigerator, and I immediately thought of my grandmother. I plan to make these 3 corns into the food he asked for. Grandma asked to make sweet grits. He said he wanted to eat corn without having to chew and also that Grandma's stomach wasn't okay with solid food. So Grandma said to make corn porridge with coconut milk.
But I couldn't fulfill her request, before I cooked the grits, Grandma had already left us, precisely at dawn at 03.00. Even though I will cook the corn in the morning and go straight to my father-in-law's house. But we never know when death will come, everything is just a man-made plan, but everything is determined by the almighty God.
I immediately burst into tears when I saw this corn, I felt like I wanted to explode and be angry with myself. I think this corn has a sad enough story for my negligence that I didn't immediately make porridge that night, but the rice has turned into porridge, I think I will cook this corn in another way.
I thought of making a dish that I once bought at a big mall. Jasuke (in Indonesia JAgung SUsu KEju) in English with Corn Milk Cheese. This food is very simple and the ingredients used are also not difficult to obtain. Curious about the recipe? Let's look at the following recipe. Check this out :)
Jasuke Ingredients:
- 3 Sweet Corn
- Cheese
- Condense milk
- Butter
- Salt
How to make Jasuke:
- Peel the corn slowly, then wash it with clean water.
- Heat the corn with 1 liter of water add pinch of salt, cook until the corn is cooked.
- Discard the corn boiled water, then add 2 tablespoons of butter. Stir well.
- Grate cheese to taste.
- Put the corn in a bowl, give condense milk. Top with grated cheese.
- Jasuke is ready to serve.
Easy way to make it right?
This food is very delicious, you can also add powdered barbecue seasoning. But I prefer the sweet taste like this. The perfect sweetness of the corn mixed with the saltiness of the cheese.
