Good evening everyone. Happy Sunday to all. Tonight I am gonna share with you what we cooked for dinner today. This is called chop suey and it is a famous Filipino dish and is always present on foods for gatherings.
Chop Suey is a dish made of stir-fried vegetables and meats like chicken and pork. Seafood and shrimp can also be included. The nearly complete ingredient list makes this chop suey dish unique. The dish also called for fresh vegetables, chicken, pork, shrimp, and cooked quail eggs.
When cooking choy suey, you need to make sure that all the ingredients that you are using is fresh just like what we have in this picture.
The first thing to do in cooking is to saute your sliced garlic and onion then put in next your sliced pork meat with chicken gizzard and heart. You need to make sure to saute them properly until cooked. You can also partially season it with salt.
The next thing is to put in your veggies like carrots, chayote, brocolli and cauli flower and mix them all together and cover it until cooked. You must also put a little water to avoid it from scrothing.
And lastly, put in you sliced cabbage and season it with salt, pepper and a little bit of oyster sauce. You must also add your water with corn startch to add thickness to its soup.
