Today I will do something I haven't done in a long time and that is share a recipe over here. 😗
Éste correspondiente al día de hoy fué un desayuno que hice en casa para la familia, unas arepitas con salsa de tomate casera. Yo adoro cocinar, he aprendido de mi padre, mi madre y mi abuela materna, es bastante divertido, y más cuando intentas una receta nueva.

This one for today was a breakfast I made at home for the family, arepitas with homemade tomato sauce. I love cooking, I have learned from my father, my mother and my maternal grandmother, it is quite fun, and more when you try a new recipe.

| 1 Ají Dulce | 1 Sweet Chili |
| 1 Cebolla | 1 Onion |
| 2 Ramas de Cebollín | 2 Chive Sprigs |
| Sal al gusto | Salt to taste |
| Media Cucharada de Azúcar | Half tablespoon sugar |
| Aceite | Oil |
En una taza grande se agrega la harina junto con la sal al gusto, yo le agregué una cucharada y media de sal. Luego se le va agregando el agua poco a poco, hasta obtener una masa moldeable.
In a large bowl add the flour and salt to taste, I added a tablespoon and a half of salt. Then add the water little by little, until you get a moldable dough.
Podrás ver que está lista porque se marcan formas fácilmente en ella.

Con la masa se hacen las arepas y se colocan sobre el sartén caliente, éstas que hice son tostadas, sin aceite.
Tardan 5 o 6 minutos a fuego medio por cada lado.

Para hacer la salsa coloco el aliño ya picado en una olla para sofreír, aceite y sal.
Los tomates los guardaré aparte, éstos son agregados de último.
To make the sauce I put the already chopped seasoning in a saucepan to sauté, oil and salt.

El aliño se cocinará a fuego medio, durante 5 minutos aproximadamente, o hasta que la cebolla se vuelva un poco transparente. En ese momento se le agrega el tomate y se mezcla.
The dressing will cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes, or until the onion becomes a little transparent. Then add the tomato and mix.
Ya en éste punto se tapa la olla, yo antes de hacerlo termino de sazonar y le agrego media cucharada de azúcar. Cuando cocino con tomates siempre le agrego una pizca de azúcar, ayuda a cortar la acidez a la salsa, pero no quedará dulce.

Fuego medio bajo, 5 minutos más a olla cerrada, se sabrá que está lista la salsa porque el tomate cederá al aplastarlo con el tenedor. Estará muy suave.
En este caso, muchos acceden a licuar la salsa para darle más consistencia. Yo por el contrario la sirvo de ésta manera, así la sirve mi abuela y me quedé con la receta amigos.
Medium low heat, 5 more minutes in a closed pot, you will know that the sauce is ready because the tomato will yield when crushed with a fork. It will be very smooth.
