Hello, friends especially foodies!
Indonesia has many dishes, and mostly it served with rice, one restaurant that had the tastiest rice with many indonesian dishes in a menu had opened a joined kitchen near my place so after i backed from work on wednesday, mom and i decided to order our dinner from that restaurant. The order delivered around 20 minutes after i had ordered it.

While mom ordered the pecel rice that day, i consistent with our favorite, langgi rice. As you could see above, the rice served with some dishes and good thing is below
Now, let me try to explain the taste one by one, per dish.
The Taste & Flavour
PECEL RICE
if you are talking about pecel in Jakarta, some may describe is as fried chicken /fish served with spicy sambal (chilli paste) or the one like mom's, which means boiled vegetables served with the authentic peanut paste. In this restaurant, they served the pecel vegetables with sunny side up egg, Indonesian fried chicken, soy sauce tempeh peanut, serundeng and fried shrimp chip. Pecel is one of authentic dish from East Java, usually Madiun.
Pecel paste had savory sweet flavour but it was too thin, supposed to be thicker, like too much water. The vegetables they used were fresh. But this was not the best one we ever tasted. The sunny side up egg had savory flavour. The tempeh had sweet flavour but it wasn't fresh and wasn't crunchy anymore. Serundeng has sweet flavour and made from coconut. Honestly, this menu made mom dissapointed, the one that made mom felt better was only the Indonesian fried chicken which was soft, tasty and savory. With that authentic smell and flavour that you'll never forget.
LANGGI RICE
Langgi rice here served with many dishes, beef floss, sliced fried egg, serundeng, potato chips, sambal ati kentang (potato and chicken liver cooked with spicy chilli sauce), shreded beef, and of course Indonesian fried chicken. This langgi rice came from Solo, a city in Central Java where our President came.
The flavour of the beef floss was sweet and somehow it wasn't so fresh like it is usually. Sliced fried egg had savory tasty flavour. Serundeng had sweet flavour. Potato chips had sweet flavour too. While their sambal ati kentang had perfect flavour, savory, spicy and sweet. Shreded beef had sweet flavour. And the fried chicken was same with mom's, one of the best you could ever tasted... it had unforgettable flavour which was authentically Indonesian, rich in Indonesian delicious spices, it had soft, savory and tasty flavour. You should try it!
The Price
It was actually 100,999 IDR for our lunch but lucky for us i got the cashback point 25,594 IDR. So it was 75,405 IDR or around 5.2 USD for our lunch. How do you think, affordable or not?
