Hello, friends especially foodies!
When you go to my city, don't miss the area which well known as Little Tokyo. This area located in Melawai street, South Jakarta. In this area you could find many authentic japanese food restaurants, and also japanese supermarket... so won't miss this area when you visit my city, Jakarta. Before the pandemic every year there held Japanese authentic festival which usually had Japanese food stalls and others ceremonies which I don't familiar too, but once we ever there, and too many persons participated there so it was more than crowded that's why it hasn't been held again during the pandemic.
Oh yeah, enough about my introduction to it, last time we went to this area, we went to one of the most famous supermarket there.. in this supermarket you could find many fresh daily made Japanese food, on two of their corner. The front one where we bought some of the their tasty take away.
Here they had many kind of salad from potato salad until macaroni salad, hmm my favorite! Sushi, onigiri (many kind of filling they offered), kind of don (rice bowl), bento (rice package) and other things. In their corner, the fried food (tempura) area mom took a kind of it too..
And good thing that there they also offered the new snacks, made from corn starch one, and i bought some of it, with their variant flavour, some with unique japanese flavour like teriyaki burger, ebi mayonaise and common flavour like cheese..
By the way here were the fresh tasty takeaway we bought...
And of course i bought the corn snacks too!
And how about the most important thing of them, the taste and the flavour...
Let's start from mom's favorite, it actually Japanese sweet potato inside the floured skin. It had sweet flavour with tasty crunchy and a bit savory skin. Then we go to one of my favorite, macaroni salad. It had tasty fresh macaroni and sausage sliced. It also had mayonaise dressing which brought sweet sour flavour to the whole macaroni, nice. I always love their macaroni salad!
And now my another favorite, Beef yakiniku onigiri.
It had totally delicious beef yakiniku filling in sweet savory flavour, also the yakiniku contained carrot too. I also love japanese rice and nori (seaweed) outside. They made it perfect!
By the way i also love their snacks...
They were all crunchy but soft. The beef teriyaki had sweet tasty teriyaki flavour. The cheese one had savory cheese flavour while the ebi mayonaise also had sweet ebi mayonaise flavour. Actually i love all of their three flavours, when i go there again i will try another flavours too..
