Hello foodie friends! It's been a while since I shared anything here, but today I ate very well so I'll tell you my recipe.
Now, since the air is colder, the heat is over and the temperature drops a bit, you want to turn on the oven more, right? And what better than to make something gratin, with cheese, always appetizing and at the same time we can eat vegetables that are so necessary and healthy.
Well, all that in one delicious dish. Let's go there!
Cheesy Cauliflower recipe
What do we need? Ingredients:
- To start, obviously, a cauliflower, which can be between 800gr or 1kg.
- A pinch of salt.
- A spoonful of paprika.
- A quarter of a teaspoon of cayenne pepper (it is somewhat spicy, but if you like it you can add more).
- About 100ml. of cream for cooking (35% fat), I have put more (the double jaja) and it has turned out just as well, so you don't have to follow the exact measurements, but see how we like it better and how the dish is turning out.
- About 120g of cream cheese (spreadable cheese).
- Two eggs.
- Grated cheese, it can be enmental or cheddar or another similar that you like.
- And optionally but which makes the recipe very happy, chorizo. I have obviously put Spanish chorizo, but it could be sausage or some type of sausage or meat that you have in your area.
Now you have to do it... Preparation:
First, you have to clean the cauliflower and cut it into pieces, into small trees. I have that prepared and stored in a conservation bag.
Second, we boiled the cauliflower in salted water for only 5 minutes.
Third, we drain it and set it aside. While we preheat the oven to about 180º
Fourth, meanwhile, in a frying pan we put the cream, the cream cheese, the spices and the eggs, we stir until everything dissolves and at the end, if we want, we can also add the chorizo.
Fifth, when we have the sauce ready, do not leave it on the fire for too long because it thickens too much, and add all the cauliflower that must be mixed and bathed in all that sauce that we have prepared.
Sixth, we transfer everything to a large tray for the oven, and on top we add the grated cheese, as much as we want and more!
Seventh, we put the tray in the oven and leave it there at 180º for about 25 minutes, although of course it depends on the type of oven and its power. It is difficult to specify, just look, and when you see that it is golden on top and the aroma is delicious.
Nothing else, remove it carefully without burning, and just smack your lips and eat!!!
It is a simple recipe, easy to prepare and a pleasure to eat. As I said at the beginning, it is a funnier and tastier way to eat cauliflower, with a different zing and lots of cheese.
