I was inspired by
Hive account@kakilasak, who at that time told me about Nasi Padang. For me as my taste for Indonesian food is struggling , because Nasi Padang is a menu that I rarely find here. I can get it during the holidays and buy it at an Indonesian shop located in Taipei main station (TMS). There is an area called "Indonesian Street" which sells various types of Indonesian food, including nasi Padang.

Last week, I bought it to take home. On purpose, I wanted to enjoy lunch. Nasi Padang Master Chef, that's the name. This Nasi Padang brand is quite well known because the setting was reviewed by fellow Indonesian workers on other media platforms. So I was curious to try.,
On a Monday afternoon, I enjoyed it for lunch. For the price of one serving of Nasi Padang here, it is NT$ 150, if the exchange rate is IDR 77K, the price is really great π, compared to the price of Nasi Padang in Indonesia which is IDR 16K. the price is five times, but for Indonesian food here it is more expensive, compared to the local cuisine menu. Because they use Indonesian spices which are hard to find.

In one serving of Nasi Padang, there are several side dishes: beef rendang, boiled sweet potato leaves, tempeh (because currently there is a shortage of eggs in Taiwan), and green chili sauce. Characteristics of rice fields. The portion of rice is very large, so I eat it for two times. It's a shame if you don't spend it, because you rarely get a menu like this.
In Indonesia, it is very easy to find Nasi Padang, but not here. Indonesian cuisine remains an idol even though living in a foreign country. The taste is very delicious and fits the tongue when enjoyed.

The pandemic has prevented me from going home, so I haven't been able to enjoy authentic Indonesian cuisine. Although this Nasi Padang is five times more expensive, the taste is still thick, which is really enjoyed at Warung Padang Indonesia.
That's all my stories about #foodies, thanks for stopping and reading. I am very happy to be able to share my recipe, photography, and my life as an Indonesian in Taiwan. See you in the next post. May we all always be given health and prosperity always.
Best Regards
