Hello foodies! It's Sunday so it's time to enjoy one more tasty recipe which happily, this time will save you from lots of ingredients that make the kilocalories from the final result go crazy. And it's also very quick and easy to prepare everything!
And if you are a fan of both Banana Bread and Brownie, then no doubt you will love this one because it's a mix between the two! 😋
- 2x bananas
- 2x eggs
- 120g oat
- 30g cocoa
- butter
- 250ml milk
- 10g baking powder
- 100g cooking chocolate
- optional: rum/vanilla essence, cinnamon, nuts, etc
The first step is quite similar to how most people begin preparing Banana Bread, namely, to smash two bananas where it's always better to pick riper ones for a better taste but also ease to prepare them.
You can do it both with a smashing machine or just with a fork as I did.
Still at this step, you can add the cinnamon or any other essence you would like and mix everything together.
After you finish adding any additional flavours, it's time to supplement your current composition with 2 eggs, a pinch of salt, 30g of cocoa and 10g of baking powder that will make the new result turn into a more solid structure, similar to the dough but which will materialize after we add a few more ingredients in it.
After you finish mixing everything together, let the composition rest in the fridge for 5-10 minutes.
In the meantime, you can get ready another bowl where you will add the 120g of oat that will be cooked on low heat for 2-3 minutes, and then mix with 250ml of hot milk.
After the mixing part is done, let it rest for 10 minutes to make sure the oat absorbs the milk and increases its volume.
When the oat absorbed the whole liquid, pour over them the previous composition left in the fridge and mix again until you obtain a solid composition similar to the dough, but which is still a bit sticky and soft.

Make sure to grease a tray with some butter to avoid having the dessert stick and burnt while in the oven, and then add the final composition over which you can attach some chocolate flakes and/or nuts. Personally, I added white chocolate flakes on this step and kept the dark chocolate for the topping.
The tray I used was quite large but if you use a 22x16 cm one, then everything will be a lot fluffier and nice looking at the end. Add the composition to the oven for 35-40 minutes at 180°C.

While the dessert is in the oven, you can add 50ml of milk and 100g of cooking chocolate in a pot and boil until the chocolate is melted and forms the topping/cream.
Attach this one over the cake when the 35-40 mins passed and let it rest until the topping becomes solid. You can both leave it as I did or spread it over the entire surface of the cake for a more balanced taste.
....aaaand here we go!
A quick, healthy, tasty and easy recipe for a dessert that doesn't come with lots of ingredients and which perhaps you already have in your house.
Personally, I feel like the white chocolate helped a lot and that if I was spreading the topping over the whole surface would be even better, but I still loved the results which are very nourishing as well!
