Today lunch I revisit the Ren restaurant at KLCC Suriall Mall, a restaurant that specializes in Shanghainese and Xinjiang Cuisine.
After looking at their menu, I decided to order the fried la mian with assorted seafood. After including the 16% service tax, the total cost is RM29.
For those who don't know what La mian is, it is a type of soft wheat flour Chinese noodle. Lamian is made by twisting, stretching, and folding the dough into strands, using the weight of the dough. The length and thickness of the strands depending on the number of times the dough is folded.
For the seafood, I found prawns, fish meat and cuttlefish. The fish meat they used is tilapia meat, not those common frozen fish fillets. Overall, I am very satisfied with the dish. The dish is well cooked and seasoned, the amount of seafood in it feel acceptable for it's price.
