It was our anniversary dinner!
I wanted to try Mitasu Japanese Ala-carte buffet few years ago but we did not manage to go due to Movement Control Order (related to covid19 movement restriction). I had actually forgotten about it until husband brought it up in view of our this year's anniversary. Due to crypto world not doing so good and we actually needed to cut down on expenses, I had second thought about it. However, husband said to let expand the faith together and spent the money wisely, which was to celebrate our anniversary. Meaning, he said "let's go!" because he said it was crucial for a time together and to really celebrate with good eating, considering I usually saved a lot on food, being as economical as I could. He wanted to give me a treat!

Mitasu
It is a Japanese restaurant as I mentioned above, and it is also all-you-can-eat Ala-carte buffet. Best of all, when we asked, they responded that there would be no time limit! We reached at 6pm and finally we had a slow dinner till 9pm. Three-hour eating!!!
Location: Central Plaza, 2506, Jln Sultan Ismail, Bukit Bintang, 55100 Kuala Lumpur, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur (At Wisma Chuang)
Ambience
This place is always crowded, so we tried our luck the day before to make a call for reservation. We got a confirmed reservation only on that day in noon time. Thank God for making those seats available for us. The person-in-charge said she could put one table for us right near the place which have all drinks served, the cons was people would be non-stop walking pass us to take drinks. We had no problem with that. I love the designs there actually, very Japanese feel to my liking.
Okay, the place did feel a bit cramp, but all customers were looking happy and satisfied. Service was good and food came fast too, so we really did not mind the more crowded feeling. The ventilation was good enough though. So thumbs-up!
Menu
The waiter gave us a menu and asked us to have a look. So many categories of food. I definitely chose sashimi, my favourite of all. I thought I just wanted sashimi and that was it. Their sashimi section contained tuna, salmon and butterfish, as well as half grilled butter fish and half grilled tuna. Super delicious!!! And very fresh too.
We had decided not to take rice so we skipped all the sushis, don section and maki (roll) section. We tried to only focus on meat that night, so we did not bother to order vegetables, especially the salad section.
We ordered grilled section like grilled saba, grilled scallop with cod roe. We also had prawn tempura and beef teppanyaki and lamb teppanyaki. Besides that, for our second round, we also ordered fresh steamed prawns upon the waiter's suggestion, she noticed we loved prawns. And husband wanted to try their deep fried beancurd as well as cawanmushi.
Finally, we tried their beef hot pot in sukiyaki style and couldn't finish it as the soup was too salty for us. However, we top up few rounds of sashimi. 😁 Yums yums!!!
By the last round of dessert, I stopped eating. So only husband tried the ice cream and konnyaku jelly. The cool thing about this buffet was the drinks were included too with variety of soft drink and of course my favourite coffee and tea. Yayyyy!! I had my two serving of coffee for the dinner (and was wondering could I sleep after that, I still slept soundly, unaffected by the caffeine.)
We were thankful for parents who were willing to take care of our children, so that we got to have half a day of time for ourselves — actually from 11am till 10pm!!! It was a great time spent together and we really got to chitchat while focusing on each other without being distracted. Yay. This was indeed great company and great food!!!
