And whilst most are busy celebrating Hearts Day from this side of the world, I'm going to talk about that short but sweet date with my supermom who is everything to me despite our very opposite personalities!
I seldom go out on a date with either of my parents since I moved out and even though I come to visit them from time to time, I lacked the interest to go to the malls unless there is a need to. Then one day, my mom relayed her sentiments of wanting to buy new shoes and I wasn't preoccupied that day so I voluntarily accompanied her. Thus, our mom and daughter bonding moments at the mall specifically at SM Seaside (a 10 min ride from our house).
There weren't available sizes for the design I chose for her.
Though our mission of securing her new shoes was a fail because there were only a few options to choose from (She wants Sketchers!), we happily ended our stroll with a sumptuous meal at The Buzzz of Bohol Bee Farm! I've been to this place a couple of times mostly with the family as this is one of our favorite dine-in restaurants at this mall because of the healthy food options they serve!
There weren't many customers yet when we arrived. The interior of this restaurant is quite simple but feels cozy. If one would be observant enough, one would appreciate the Filipino elements incorporated into their design. Most won't even take notice or glance at this place because the aesthetics are not that eye catchy from the outside. However, despite this, the restaurant never runs out of customers because of its delicious food!
We chose a spot in the middle and right away scanned the menu. I'm a fan of their Organic Garden Salad but this time around we wanted to try something new. Mom picked the Chicken Sandwich which costs Php280 or $5 and I chose the Seafood Pizza after the server's recommendation which was Php400 or $7.27. Hope it was a good choice!
They also sell other goods like pure honey, sandwich spread, vegetable chips, and other essentials made of "organic" ingredients like herbal soaps and conditioners.
We waited about 15 minutes for the food to be served. Since the chicken sandwich was good for 2 people, mom gave me half of it. I can't sum up in words how it was so tasty! The filling was just filled with lots of veggies and chicken meat. One wouldn't need any sauce for it.
The Seafood Pizza came a few minutes later and was excited to eat this one. Mom commented that it was a bit bland for her taste while I honestly think it just had the right amount of flavor to counter that tasty sandwich we finished. Despite her misgivings, we finished 3 slices each. 😅 We had the leftover as a takeaway.
If you ever would have the chance to be in this restaurant, I recommend you have their garden salad and a taste of their famous fruit-flavored ice cream! 😉 I think they have the right amount of food choices so that you won't get confused about what to get and the prices are affordable too!
