A compilation of food things
- because I have been busy with two major projects 2/4 actually and though I still manage to take nice food pics, I don't have enough time to post it all separately.
So, here goes! One blast!
WHAT IS THIS FLOUR OVERLOAD??
- this is my recipe for a tortilla wrap and then I made salsa like salad to eat it with tuna. Till now I'm not totally sure what to call it, I just go with tortillas. It may look like a taco too.
(Sorry if a few pics don't load, I've uploaded they seem to not load from my end. Wb yours?)
Recipe
For the wrap
๐ฎ 2 cups flour and another 1 cup for rolling it
- add salt, water, olive oil, baking soda and sugar. Keep them all to a teaspoons amount but with the oil can be more and the water is 1/2 cup to 1 cup (but it may have been too much when I used one cup).
For the Salad
๐ฅ A small bowl of fresh parsley
๐
6 tomatoes
๐ฅ 1 whole cucumber
๐งsalt and pepper
๐ถ๏ธ 1 red bell pepper
๐ฐ Half an onion and half a head of garlic minced
๐ธ Extra virgin Olive oil
๐ถ a few tablespoons of vinegar
๐ a squeeze of Lemon
- chop all of them and mix them in a bowl with salt pepper to taste and drops of vinegar and squeeze of lemon, don't forget to drizzle your favourite olive oil!
A can of:
๐ Tuna
Mayonnaise
Cheese
(Or eat it with any of your favourite meats, fried or roasted because why not?)
Pictures!!!!
I just pan fry it after I flatten it
Next!
Lemon Pasta and garlic cream pasta
Magical lemons!
Ingredients:
๐ Lemon and grated lemon peels
Butter
Salt pepper
Pasta
Parsley (optional since we bought a lot)
Perhaps Italian seasoning is good, a sprinkle of it
- Boil pasta to aldente
- Melt butter in a pan, add paste, squeeze lemons and add the grated lemon peel
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Herbs!
Serve! It's simple but so good!
(Now I'm wondering if adding mushrooms is a good idea?)
We ate this with seafood dish and potato salad.
This garlic pasta ๐ is creamy but the ironic part is it's not cream but milk and butter.
Ingredients:
- pasta
- minced garlic
- salt and pepper
- milk
- butter
- parsley
- flour
- Boil your pasta
- Sautee garlic in butter and then add milk
- Add a little flour to thicken it
- Add your pasta and herbs
Serve!
Delicious!
Potatoes and Bread
Garlic bread:
- minced garlic
- butter
- salt
- Italian seasoning
- oregano
- Get your bread spread some butter
- Top it with garlic and herbs
- Heat pan and fry it till it browns a bit
Serve!
SAMOSA!
I LOVE SAMOSA!
yesterday I cooked the filling to eat it with bread instead of kneading the dough and boiling potatoes. I just fried the cubed potatoes.
But here's the important part, getting the spices that make it taste like it.
Here's what I used:
- Cumin seed
- Fennel seed
- Coriander seed
- Red chilli peppers
- Salt and ground pepper corns
- I add turmeric (mostly for health purpose)
The rest is:
Peas, ginger and potatoes, and! And! A squeeze of lemon! That does the job.
I fried the spices first and after a while I put potatoes and when they're cooked I add the peas.
Yum!
And the last thing I took a picture of this morning was some french toast!
- cinnamon, bread, sugar, eggs and some blueberry!
So happy to share my kitchen adventure!
