The holiday season is almost upon us. Happy Holidays! Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and Happy Kwanzaa. I think I got them all. Join my family as we kick off the holidays!
We are lucky to live in an area that typically has a snowy holiday. It's usually cold but there's not a heck of a lot you can do about that - other than move or just embrace it. If you've been following me you know we do not shy away from outdoor activity in the winter.
We started the evening off with some warm Pho soup at a restaurant close to the WinterFest.
Oh, yum. Once warmed up with our soup we were off to the outdoors and the WinterFest. The lights were set up and the music was playing throughout the park. Oh, but there was another reason to visit the park.
Dessert! One of the things that the park is famous for is Funnel Cakes. So we set off on a mission to find them.
The lights and music.

Success! We had to wait in line with everyone else looking to delight in the famous Funnel Cakes. They were huge. We ordered two between the five of us. A Ginger Bread Funnel Cake and an Egg Nog Funnel Cake. My son displays the rewards of our wait in the cold.
The Egg Nog Funnel Cake
... and the Ginger Bread Funnel Cake
We walked off the funnel cakes with a walk around the park grounds, should have had Actifit going :-) It was a great family outing to kick-off the holiday season!
With that said from my family to you and yours HAPPY HOLIDAYS
Thanks for coming along with us on our kick-off to the Holidays
