Are you traveling north of Cebu this long week? Or you are just planning to travel there? Well, try this very delish sweet rice cake or locally known as “bibingka” which is sold just alongside the road in Catmon, Cebu, PH.
Good day, food bees! It's been a while! How are you? I hope everyone is doing great and healthy and safe! 😊
This time, let me share with you one of our finest delicacies. Perhaps for most Filipinos, rice cakes are already common. But think twice. You must try this when you travel up Cebu!
As you travel up Cebu, you’ll simply distinguish these lined-up vendors with very noticeable oven smoke made from cooking sweet rice cakes. These very soft and not-so-sweet rice cakes are best when hot!
That’s why, when we had the chance to travel north, I automatically bought 10 pieces for only 50 pesos ($1) because it is very important to travel with a happy stomach, right? 😄
We even tried one time, traveled to this place just to buy these "bibingka" out of just craving it. haha I just can't resist its softness and the happiness it brings when I eat them! 😅
These rice cakes are very ideal for your families at home waiting for a “pasalubong” also. Hehe Your families would be so glad to try these snacks and would like to request more!
Have you tried Catmon’s bibingka? Or have you tried it from a different place? Tell me about it 🤗
