Hotel G's accommodation includes a free breakfast buffet at their very own Ginett Restaurant and Wine Bar. I have read a few reviews before about their stay in the said hotel and they didn't mention a buffet but with our stay, we got buffet breakfast for the four days that we had stayed at the hotel, except for our flight day though where they were so nice to pack a to-go breakfast for everyone.
So today, allow me to share with you a glimpse of how our daily breakfast was at Ginett. This blog includes a lot of photos of the location of course!
And because our little one wakes up late, we are always late in eating as well. Breakfast is served from seven in the morning until ten. So, we still got an ample time to eat our hearts out before they close though.
The restaurant is located on the ground floor of the hotel and so it is the first thing to find as soon as a guest opens the main front door. It can be seen from the outside as well with its name displayed.
According to the Hotel's website, this is a bistro-style French restaurant and wine bar with a culinary team led by highly acclaimed Executive Chef Sylvain Royer, Ginett offers charcoal-grilled meats, premium cold cuts and cheese, and extensive French wine list starting at $8 per glass.
Speaking of wine, let's look at their wine bar, shall we?
This view is what welcomes you when you get inside. There are hundreds of wine glasses hanging on there! Surround table of course for customers to see their bartenders make their drinks!
During our breakfast buffets, the juices were all available at this side of the restaurant. They also got a coffee machine here and on the mezzanine floor. But I prefer this coffee machine over here because it was faster!
I was actually amazed to see this many wine glasses! I guess this is the first time I have seen such a number of glasses in my entire life, well, the mall display is an exemption though.
I am not sure if the wine bar was already open in the morning though because I never saw anyone in here the entire hotel stay duration. I checked it on their website and indeed that space is still closed and is only open between 12 pm – 12 am Tuesdays to Sundays. For some reason, it is closed on Mondays!
Their menu is just available at the side of the bar and they have monthly offerings which are hard to resist! You might want to check out the hotel website to book the month's specials. For example, for this March and April, Ginett is bringing a new kind of "prime" Butcher's Cuts to the table! From tender braises to mouthwatering grills like Wagyu Spider Steak.
As a wine bar, they also have ladies' night every Tuesday between 6 pm to 11 pm to get a complimentary 1 bottle of wine for every group of 4 ladies! Best of all, no minimum spend is required.
Here's a wider view of the bar, there are tables in this part and the buffet starts here too. Since it's a breakfast buffet, the food available here is usually french pastry like muffins and croissants. There were nuts too, dried fruits, some jams and a lot more! Pancakes and cereals were also available. Matti loved these pastries!
They got a lot of cheese options here displayed on this clear glass cooler and the wines are also saved on the opposite side. They are not part of the buffet!
I really love that they have nuts available, I ate a lot of these nuts and I regret not taking some for takeaway! Teehee, some of our companions took some out because they bring them during tours and it's nice to munch on these nuts. I never thought of it until the end of the trip! Too bad!
While I liked this area here, we always prefer sitting at the upper area because that's where the viand is located. From here, either you take the stairs at the far end or at the main entrance, it's not that a huge place though but the upper floor was dimmer and they got better seating options!
Now let's move on to our breakfast experience!
This is where the viands are displayed. They are always covered, and there were much staff walking around just to check if there was still food enough for the guests.
The viands were different every day. I recall they have these really good-tasting hashbrowns. They pair it with beans, they got veggies too, eggs, and meat available. They got soup too. I can't remember everything though but they were enough for breakfast needs.
During our entire five days stay, we made sure that we are full so we won't get hungry easily while on the road. But what I really had enjoyed here was their coffee! We don't always get to have access to good coffee at home, we only use a coffee maker which makes espresso but not been able to make good lattes and I love latte so as my husband. So, during breakfast, coffee latte was the first that I would always grab.
This is one of their coffee makers. They have two, one on the ground floor and this one. I prefer the one on the ground floor but this is also good though but it takes more time compared to the other one. They have two of these so that if one of them gets into a trouble, there's a spare one. I remember there were a couple of times that the staff would do maintenance before we could use it again or maybe they were just refilling the milk or coffee beans?
Salads and fruits are always present! They got yogurts, cheese, and cold cuts here too! They are all inside this fridge! My little one would always play with this fridge as its a low one and he was able to open it easily.
Anyway, as I have mentioned, I prefer it here because of the ambiance, but also because the ground floor table is usually just good for two and we eat together with my parents always so we need a bigger table and here, the seats are comfortable too especially with a toddler!
Coffee and croissant! My little one would just eat either croissant or pancake! He also tried their cereals and hashbrown.
As I was checking my gallery for any saved photo of us during our breakfast here, I realized, I only have taken group photos on our first breakfast together! I regret not taking photos of my plate though! But I am grateful I have these photos to share with you. My parents surely loved the daily buffet!
As for our flight day, Ginett gave us a packed breakfast. They placed three packs inside this paper bag plus the juice drink!
So inside the packed breakfast was this fried rice which I know has seaweed in it and then there's just eggs and chicken fillet. I guess there were more but I already ate them before taking photos!
They also got us bread, croissants, and muffins which I was really thankful because Matti would only eat those.
Overall, I truly liked our daily breakfast buffet in Hotel G's Ginett restaurant. Thank you Ginett for serving us good and fresh food every single day during our Singapore stay!
