Today I come to share with you a wonderful place that I met yesterday. Its name is La Tequila, and it is a restaurant based on Mexican culture.
Its decoration and food is inspired by that country.

Hoy vengo a compartirles un lugar maravilloso que conocí el día de ayer. Su nombre es La Tequila, y es un restaurante basado en la cultura mexicana.
Su decoración y su comida está inspirada en ese país.
This restaurant, located in Porlamar, Margarita Island, has been open since 2006. Despite the situation in Venezuela and then the pandemic, it has remained open. And when you enter it looks as if it has just been inaugurated since its interior is very well preserved.
Este restaurante, queda ubicado en Porlamar, en la Isla de Margarita, tiene desde el año 2006 abierto. A pesar de la situación en Venezuela y luego la pandemia, se ha mantenido abierto. Y cuando entras pareciera que está recién inaugurado ya que su interior está muy bien conservado.
At the entrance, it has almost life-size images of Mexican men (called charros), and the very famous character for those familiar with the Mexican television series "Chavo del 8" in his barrel. Around the first floor, there are pictures of artists belonging to Mexico, such as the comedian Cantinflas, the singer Vicente Fernández and others. You can also see charro hats hanging all over the place and paintings referring to anything that has to do with Mexico.
En la entrada, tiene unas imágenes en tamaño casi real de hombres mexicanos (llamados charros), y el personaje muy famoso para aquellos conocedores de esa serie de televisión mexicana del "Chavo del 8" en su barril. Alrededor de la planta baja, hay fotos de artistas pertenecientes a México, como por ejemplo el comediante Cantinflas, el cantante Vicente Fernández y otros. También se pueden observar sombreros de charro colgados por todo el local y pinturas referentes a cualquier cosa que tenga que ver con México.
On the menu they offer typical Mexican food, in my case I ordered some nachos to share, which were accompanied by a "rooster pick" and ground beef. The price was $17 and it was enough for the 4 of us in the place. And for drinks they have a menu where you can find variety, as I said before, Mexican style. I ordered a Chelada, which has as ingredients: beer, lemon and salt. I wanted to try the Michelada which contains: salt, lemon, soy sauce and spicy, but at that time they didn't have it. My friends decided to go for some drinks, one of them called Sombrero Blanco which contained coconut cream, pineapple, frangélico and of course, tequila. Another ordered one called Tamarindo which contained Tequila, Cointreau and tamarind juice. Tamarind is a fruit that has a sour taste, it is delicious.
En la carta ofrecen comida típica mexicana, en mi caso me pedí unos nachos para compartir, que venían acompañados por un "pico de gallo" y carne molida. Su valor fue de 17$ y alcanzó muy bien para las 4 que estábamos en el lugar. Y para las bebidas tienen una carta donde se encuentra la variedad, como dije antes, al estilo mexicano. Yo pedí una Chelada, que tiene como ingredientes: cerveza, limón y sal. Quería probar la Michelada que contiene: Sal, limón, salsa de soya y picante, pero en ese momento no tenían. Mis amigas decidieron irse por unos tragos, uno de ellos llamado Sombrero Blanco que contenía crema de coco, piña, frangélico y por supuesto, tequila. Otra pidió uno llamado Tamarindo que contenía Tequila, Cointreau y jugo de tamarindo. El tamarindo es una fruta que tiene un sabor ácido, es deliciosa.
Now I want to tell you about one of the things that impressed me the most, which was the second floor, with an extremely colorful and beautiful decoration. Of course following the decoration of the charro hats, catrina masks, the people who served you at the table, dressed in the best Mexican style and the chairs, ALL handmade, embossed and painted with motifs alluding to Mexico. This was really impressive, since there are many, many tables, and each one has 4, so you can imagine the great work of art that exists in this restaurant.
Ahora les quiero hablar de una de las cosas que más me impresioné, que fue el segundo piso, con una decoración extremadamente colorida y hermosa. Por supuesto siguiendo la decoración de los sombreros de charros, máscaras de catrinas, las personas que te atendían en la mesa, vestidos al mejor estilo mexicano y las sillas, TODAS, hechas a mano, en relieve y pintadas con motivos alusivos a México. Esto realmente fue impactante, ya que hay muchas, pero muchas mesas, y cada una tiene 4, por ahí pueden imaginarse el gran trabajo de arte que existe en ese restaurante.
Finally, the service is excellent, and if you have a birthday, everyone who attends gathers at your table and sings your birthday in the best Mexican style. Quite an experience.
