Hello food lovers,
In this food blog, I'm sharing some Filipino recipes that might boost your appetite or maybe not 😁, because in this recipe I'm adding dried fish and I know some whites don't like dried fish especially its smells base on my own experience.
This recipe is made from my second harvest of ladyfinger from my garden. I decided to make another type of recipe since I already had soups the other day.
In this cooking session, I will be sharing a technique that might be useful to you. Since ladyfingers are a very soft kind of vegetables so I'm cooking them on a rice cooker that has cooked rice.
To do it
- From the newly cooked rice, you insert every cleaned ladyfinger inside it and cover. Let it stay for 10 minutes.
The heat from the rice is just right to cook the ladyfinger inside and what I love doing this way because it doesn't overcook my veggies and I love the texture rather than stewing it with water and also it conserves time and energy.
- After 10 minutes you can see that the veggies become light green and now is the time to remove them from the rice.
Ingredients used
- ladyfingers
- onion
- ginger
- salt
- pepper
- vinegar
- chillies
- dried fish
procedure
While waiting for my veggies I fry and prepared the 2 pieces of dried fish I bought from a mini-store for 0.20$.
for the seasoning, I combined the sliced onion and ginger, salt, pepper and chillies.
Lastly, Garnish.
Best way to enjoy eating the recipe is to use your bare hands.
My favourite part is when I chew the food the onions and ginger that crunch on my mouth the saltiness of the dried fish, spicy chillis that compliment the sour vinegar. Make me eat more and more rice 🤤😁.
Without further ado, I say goodbye and thank you for reading.
God bless us all.
