Our dinner: chicken rice- this is a special local dish and I'm so excited to make it for the first time.
Ingredients:
Chicken: 1.0kg (for 3 people), 300 grams of glutinous rice, turmeric powder, 1 onion, some laksa leaves, herbs (basils, mints) from our garden, spices ( salt, pepper, sugar, fish sauce, garlic,..)
Do you love homemade veggie pickles? This is made from carrot and young papaya. It's easy and fast to make. Cut them into small pieces and put them into warm water then add sugar, salt and spices. heat it up, and pour it over your veggies. Leave until it gets cool and you can eat it freshly.
Chicken broth
Boil the chicken, shred it and mix it with spices, lettuce, basil & sliced onions. Do you eat chicken feet? Sounds weird but I love it.
Put a bowl of rice, chicken salad and veggie on the side of the plate. Looks delicious and attractive? And now time for dinner. Yummy 😋
