Ingredients
- 1 packet of oreo( classic or red velvet)
- 1 packet of pre-made vanilla ice cream
- 150ml milk
- 30g condensed milk
Directions
Crush oreo into fine pieces with smooth textures.
Mix pre-made ice cream vanilla flavored with milk and condensed milk using a mixer. Mix it well.
After 4 minutes and the mixture starts to rise, add crushed oreo.
Mix it with the mixer for another 2 minutes.
Place the mixture into a box or cup. Any place of your preference.
If you want to have extra smooth and creamy rich texture, mix it with mixer once the batter is more condensed. You can also skip this step if you're impatient.
Finally, add more coarse crushed Oreo to the mixture or on top of it.
- Freeze it again and enjoy it whenever you want.
Note from Mac
I choose red velvet in this recipe because I haven't tried this flavor and wanting to know how it would turned out if I made a McFlurry with it. But if you really want a classic copycat of Mcflurry, definitely use the original orea instead different flavors. Taste wise, this red velvet ice cream tastes like red velvet instead of vanilla-like ice cream.
To better replicate Mcflurry taste, the key component is the milk and the condensed milk. This will make the batter smoother than making it without them. Also for better result, you can use a blender to crush the oreos instead manually crushing it. I use spice crusher to do it, the tool works but not optimal. So, try to use the best tools there is but if you don't have it, that's okay too.
Another secret tips is to mix it twice especially for pre-made ice creams. Also don't forget, divide the packet of oreo wisely, otherwise you won't have any left for the garnish.
