Nestled in the heart of the business district in the province, Le Travail provides a space where young urban professional can work, network, or hide from the hustle and bustle city life. Stepping into some parts of the cafe will transport you to the destination that you wish to have. Magically, this place also has different vibes and atmosphere as I discovered after visiting the place multiple times. There is something special, even a hidden stair that unlocks different realm in the space. Join me as I explore the place and show you some of the magic that this place has to offer.
Upon entering the place, I was greeted by a friendly cashier. The menu concept feels familiar to the concept of fast-coffee. It’s all displayed and there is no menu book. As seemingly their main target customer is young urban crowd, they are also doing cashless and only accepts QR payment. Everything was kept pretty straightforward and even the menu can sound foreign. But of course, asking is something that one can do. The furniture of the place was kept minimal. With the interior and exterior was in ivory white as well as lighter gray. The pastries and cake selection was displayed next to the counter and they are calling you to have a bite.
In this place, It’s also self-service and without any staff that will deliver coffee to your table. Only with a few exceptions when the cakes or pastry needs a reheat, one of them will deliver it to the table. But overall, interacting with them and also being asked questions by them does not feel like they are rude at all. In fact, it is one of the friendliest cashier in my adventure around coffee shop in the area.
Even as non-coffee drinker, you can still have plenty selections in this place. As you can see above those are their menu. However, they do not sell heavy meal as they mostly focus on coffee and lighter bites and pastry. I would recommend Comfy-Nutty and salted popcorn for the milk-based coffee. I have not tried their pour over bar but it looks really tempting and they seem to have variety selection of beans.
One of the best part about pricing in this coffee shop is the affordable selection and no tax. The tax usually hinders me from coming back unless the place really offers great service. While in this place, they are not taxed and the beverages are well-priced.
Just as it’s conveniently located in the bustling area of the city, it has everything it takes to be a great place to work from. While sitting in one of the table from inside we can see the busy packed road. It offers just enough white background noise to keep us productive and focus on our task. One of the thing that I appreciate is the playlist in the spot that just matches with my taste.
As I mentioned that this place has two different vibes earlier, now I will be showing why. I visited this place during the afternoon with a friend of mine. As the night gets darker, it suddenly gets busy with good-looking youngsters and well-dressed crowd. But in the morning, it can be very quiet and even the ones who work inside the cafe can be less than 5. This is why, I enjoy this place because not only it’s quiet during the day, it’s quite refreshing to see different fashionista walking in this coffee shop as I might steal their look.
While the place looks fairly small from the road side, once entering another door of the place, there is a concrete garden that are quite aesthetic and gives the vibe of urban jungle. Since it’s quite hot in the place, it’s not recommended to sit there but just taking a brief look or take pictures, it feels quite refreshing especially if you live in this area where a lot of it are simply concrete.
For working in the place, the wifi speed is not as good as Ekologi. But again, places without tax usually doesn’t have a decent wifi speed.Especially when you’re someone like me who visit a place to download large files.
For working purposes, I normally use my own Wifi as it’s a lot secure and reliable. As the coffee itself, I don’t have any complain, it’s fairly decent for a pick-me-up coffee and it has its own strong flavor compared to the regular milk-based coffee houses. In the end, for the price offered as well as the convenience and cozyness, the place is worth checking out.
