Saludos amigos de esta gran familia como lo es hive. Y en esta linda comunidad el día de hoy quiero publicar por primera vez en Foodies Bee Hive. Y poder compartir una sencilla, humilde pero muy deliciosa receta de arvejas con huesitos rojos. Espero les guste.

Greetings friends of this great family as it is hive. And in this beautiful community today I want to publish for the first time in Foodies Bee Hive. And to be able to share a simple, humble but very delicious recipe for peas with red bones. I hope you like it.

Aca en Venezuela estos granos son relativamente económico y lo mejor de ellos es la cantidad de vitaminas que nos aportan a nuestro organismo. Sobre todo Hierro y vitaminas B. A mí me encantan pues lo puedo ofrecer en forma de sopa a mi familia y se que están comiendo algo sumamente nutritivos. El kilo tiene un valor en el mercado de 2$ o lo equivalente a 10 Bs.

Here in Venezuela these grains are relatively inexpensive and the best thing about them is the amount of vitamins that they provide to our body. Especially Iron and B vitamins. I love them because I can offer them in the form of soup to my family and I know they are eating something extremely nutritious. The kilo has a market value of $ 2 or the equivalent of Bs 10.

Escojo y lavo muy bien las arvejas.

I choose and wash the peas very well.

Lavo muy bien los huesos rojos.

I wash the red bones very well.

En un caldero agrego suficiente agua y coloco a cocinar. Agrego los huesos rojos y las arvejas así hasta que la carne de estos huesos ablanden. Eso por aproximadamente 40 minutos. El grano va soltando un color verde y se va poniendo espesa el agua.

In a cauldron I add enough water and put it to cook. I add the red bones and the peas like this until the meat of these bones is tender. That for about 40 minutes. The grain is releasing a green color and the water becomes thick.

Lavo, pelo y pico las zanahorias y las cortó en trozos pequeños y la agrego a los granos y dejo que ablanden.

I wash, peel and chop the carrots and cut them into small pieces and add them to the grains and let them soften.

Una vez todo está blando cortó la cebolla en trozos pequeños y trituro los ajos. Agregos en un saltén y sofrio en lo que la cebolla está transparente agrego los aliños a los granos y les coloco sal al gusto dejo cocinar unos 10 minutos más y está lista está rica sopa de arvejas.

Once everything is soft, cut the onion into small pieces and crush the garlic. I add them in a saucepan and fry in which the onion is transparent. I add the seasonings to the grains and add salt to taste. Let it cook for another 10 minutes and it is ready is rich pea soup.
