Ispiso means the coconut milk is made from the first squeeze together with a small amount of water or we can call it the pure one.
Lapsaw means the coconut milk being made or the second one created from squeezed coconut already or let's call it less pure.
It's easy to cook this type of dish but the preparation makes it longer to finish. The word takes your time in cooking should be applied in this. Aside from preparing the ingredients, grating coconut is a bit of a hassle. Also, after grating, it's not finished preparing the ingredients because we want the coconut milk but not the grated coconut itself. Before we will start cooking let's prepare the ingredients first Just so you know it was me who cooked this dish. lol
2 pieces of fish to add flavorful taste but it's fine if you don't have fish.
1 coconut will provide coconut milk as the main ingredient of two types. (ispiso - pure - 2 cups and lapsaw - less pure - 3 or 5 cups depends if you want to have more soup. ) actually not sure of the correct translation of these two words.
Moringa leaves are just additional ingredients
1 piece of small ginger
1 piece of a small onion
1 - 2 tbsp of salt (depends on your preferable taste.

The ingredients are ready but I want you to learn how to have the coconut milk you need. It's not easy to have ispiso coconut milk because it may overpour with water. In one grated coconut add 2 cups of water. Keep squeezing it until you can tell it's dry already. Use a strainer of course in separating the grated coconut from coconut milk.
When you're done with the ispiso coconut milk it's time for you to make lapsaw coconut milk. Don't throw that grated coconut after you squeezed some milk because it will be the one to be used in making a lapsaw coconut milk. Add 5 cups of water and again do the same process as what you did first. This one will serve as the water or the soup in your dish.

Let's cook
Place the lapsaw coconut milk into the pot together with the spices, ginger, and onion. Don't do anything and just wait for it to boil. As I said earlier, cooking this dish is easy and fast.
When it starts to boil, place the 2 fish and 1 or 2 tbsp. You know, don't just rely on what you read or watch if it talks about taste as long as you have the ingredients and the process. We have different descriptions of deliciousness after all. Again, wait until it boils for another.

When it boils again that's the time to add the leaves vegetables and the ispiso coconut milk where it tells the taste of your dish. The ispiso coconut milk is like your seasoning to taste delicious but you can still add other seasonings, you decide.

As always, the boiling point will be your sign that the food is cooked already. You can now remove it from the fire because it's ready to serve now. It's easy and fast, right?
