It's the month of Ramadan in the Muslim world. We are fasting for 23 days. Yeeee!!
The best cultural part of Ramadan is 'Ifter', the breakfast time at evening. Every country have a different way to prepare and serve food during ifter. We, Bangladeshi also have some authentic ifter dishes.
It's not like I prefer having rich ifter everyday. Especially in this lockdown situation it doesn't feel right anymore to spend on luxury. But you know, my tooth and tongue were waiting to have something special.
I stopped ordering food from outside. But after a while I took the decision to have some taste of good food. Preparing all this at home will take me one full day. So ordering from outside is the best option.
Biriyani
Halim
These two are our one of the best local dish for ifter. Also I arranged lassi (dessert drink) and orange juice. And there are other items too.
People using do ifter with many deep fried item in Bangladesh. But I prefer rice based, low oily food. Though these are not the best option but it's better than deep fried food, I guess.
Share with me how you are celebrating Ramadan a d how you are doing ifter. Also what do you think about our food culture of ifter?
