If rain ruins your plans don't let it ruin your whole day.
I said to myself this yesterday and choose to sit at my favorite restaurant. Nothing else could boost my mood except for food!
I went to a nearby shopping place, my cousin sister came to visit me, she wanted to explore the wholesale marketplace of Dhaka. I also had a shopping list so didn't hesitate to go even it was a rainy day.
Though the rain ruined some of our plans. But that's okay when we hang out in this good old restaurant I forget everything but only food :)
The restaurant's name is Mollika Snacks. It's a pretty old place, not like the modern one. They are serving food for more than 50 years. You will not get to see the modern decore there but the food, no need to say about their quality. Your money will be worth it.
What could be the best decision than sitting in a restaurant, having some good food and avoiding the outside crowd and wet streets?
We choose to have some fries/chips and one of our local popular snacks. We call it Chicken chap. I ordered some Parata and they served it with sour card and cucumber salad. It was a perfect combination.
Don't expect the fries to be like your favorite restaurant. It was a bit different, crispy, spicy but freshly made. It was a good starter.
Here comes the Chicken chap and paratha.
The chicken was spicey than usual but the salad was perfect to balance the spice. And the paratha was fluffy, crispy, and good to go with the chap.
The best thing about this place is, they keep the same quality and taste of the food like the old days. I tasted their food for the first time like 10 years ago and it still feels the same.
Also, their food price is less than any other similar place.
Because of the rain, we get to see the place almost empty. But during the afternoon or evening, don't think about getting an empty seat. You may have to wait in line to enjoy your food peacefully.
And if you love mayonnaise and sauce, then you get another reason to choose this place because their homemade sauce and mayo are very popular.
When the rain stops after around half an hour, we decided to come home. After all, our stomach was full and we needed some rest.
I would call it a good day with lots of 'sister gossip' and shopping.
