Hello everyone! What's up for today? I have a delicious and nutritious recipe to share with you today! We seldom cook this because it's not always sold in the market. In fact, Antonia's mom ordered these Angel Wings Clam online @380php/kilo.
First and foremost, you need to brush the shells thoroughly to remove the algae that have grown on top of the outer cover while it is cultured underwater by the sea. It can go deep under the sand for 3 feet!
Therefore, (after brushing) you need soak in water first and sprinkle a little amount of salt for the clam to open up and release the small particles of sand inside the shell. For a delicious preparation, you need the following recipe:
• 1 kilo Angel Wings Clam
• 1 cob sweet corn
• 1 cup malonggay (moringa)
• lemon grass
• Onions
• ginger
• garlic
• Knorr cubes
• seasoning
- Sauté the spices while the clams are placed in a wok the pour the spices, stir for a while then cover.
When covering, the steam will gradually help the salty juice of the clam oozes its natural savory taste.Take note: Do not add salt because the clam meat is already salty as well as its natural juice.
Next, mix the sweet corn then add knorr cubes for flavor enhancement.
Do not overcook because the meat will become tough. 30 minutes is more than enough.
Finally, drop the malonggay leaves. Stir and taste. Add a little amount of water if it's too salty. A dash of sugar will be fine too.Serve hot.

You know how nutritious this recipe is? Moringa is best for lactating mothers and Angel Wings Clam is a good source of Iodine. The natural juice is so creamy and yummy, added with sweet corn is simply the best!
Other Preparations
For other preparations, Angel Wings Clam can be grilled directly on fire or charcoal. Simply prepare dip using spices such as garlic, onions, hot chilli, soy sauce and vinegar. Oh so yummy! This is good for a seaside trip or a camp out!
For Baked Angel Wings Clam, you only need the following:
•Cleaned Angel Wings Clam
•Butter
•Cheese
•black pepper
•Garnishing
(Use the same process in cleaning the shells.)
First, you need to boil some amount of water to dip the clams then remove once it opens up. Open the shell slowly and prepare a flat baking pan. Melt butter and cheese and place on top of the clam meat. Bake for 15 minutes then sprinkle with the desired garnishing.
