Hi Hive family.
After a stressful day from work I came back home checked the fridge and my brother had eaten the food I kept so I decided to make for myself a light food for supper and I made plantain chips
I know to some of us, plantain chips may be a foreign food. So this recipe is going to help us get familiar with it's preparation via the manual way😁
The items we need are:
- Plantain
- Knife
- Vegetable oil
- Frying pan
- Water
- Cooker
- Frying spoon
First we peel the cover of our plantain, wash it with water, get them from the water, slice it to thin circular shape, add salt to the sliced plantian.
Make sure the salt is evenly distributed in the sliced plaintain then get your cooker turned on, pour the groundnut oil into your frying pan and heat it for some minutes.
Add the salted sliced plantain to the heated oil, let it heat for some minutes then you turn the unfried side down to get it fried. Continue doing this till you are sure you have properly fried your plantain or dodo
As it is called by the yorubas. The ibibio tribe calls it Ukom.
Then use the frying spoon to remove the platain from the oil into a dry plate.
Oh well, I fried gizzard also so I can have chewables and not just chips
Now our chips is served. I dealt with the chips, drank water, typed this, and boom slept off. Tomorrow we go again😁
