Introduction
Hi Everybody,
I'm . Recently, I have been posting restaurant reviews but I wanted to change it up this time. This won't really be a review of a restaurant but more like introducing a dessert you may have not seen before. If you are from South East Asia, then you most likely know what this dessert it. The dessert I'm introducing is Cendol and I ate it at a restaurant called Penang Chendul @Sunway Pyramid branch which is in Malaysia. I'm not sure why the spelling for their restaurant is Chendul for their franchise but I think it's because that's how cendol is pronounced when you sound it out. I'm not too entirely sure about this. I didn't plan on blogging today but today I went to the mall to pickup my suit that I bought for a wedding. It turns out they are still not ready so I have to come back tomorrow to get it. This means that I will be going to the mall tomorrow so I will probably do another restaurant review or introduce another type of food.
What is Cendol?
To put it simply, Cendol is a popular dessert in Malaysia and some other South East Asia countries. It's composed of shaved ice, green jelly, palm sugar, red bean and coconut milk. If you saw from my first photo which is also the thumbnail, it's a pretty simple dessert. It's sweet and tastes nice. It's also cold so it's nice to have if the weather is hot or if you live in a humid country. I'm not sure how else to describe it. I usually mix it cause I like it better that way; I'm not sure if this is the best way but there's some that don't like it mixed together so I guess it's all up to preference. You can see from the second photo of how it looks like after being mixed.
How Much Did I Spend?
As you can see from the receipt, I spent around RM7.90 which is around $1.80 USD.
Thank You
If you made it to the end, thank you so much for reading and supporting me. Sorry not that much photos this time. I'm a bit shy to take photos because it was a bit crowded in the mall and I didn't want anybody to think I was doing anything weird. Also, I'm not sure how many times we are allowed to post in this community. I assume once per day I hope if not I'm really sorry for posting another post so soon. If someone can clarify in comments, it would be much appreciated.
