If you have ever been to India and not tried the Indian Street food, you have wasted your flight tickets.
Indian street food is something to die for. You get amazing food at such a cheap price one can't even imagine.
Sometime back, I wrote a post showing the art of a local vendor selling chole kulche. Today, let me show you one of the best samosas and jalebi of Delhi.
This vendor is near my mom's place. I have been taking samosas from him since I was a child. Every occasion, every monsoon it used to be our go-to place. We started having them when they were sold for INR 3. Today the price is INR 12. The taste is the same, delicious and mouth-watering.
Till date, I can feel this taste in my mouth. Samosas are love!
And to compliment samosas are jalebis. So its a combination of spicy and sweet. The same vendor makes jalebis as well.
There are too hard to resist.
So if you ever visit India, especially the northern region, I would recommend you to have samosa and jalebi from a nice road side vendor who makes them fresh in front of you. Don't order it from a nice restaurant. They will give you what's already ready and just re-heat it in the microwave before serving and that's not fun at all. These things are best had when just out of the oil, direct in your plate.
