The other day, my husband said he wanted to eat a little cake, so I tried to cook it, the first time I cooked it, it was very successful, because in the past when she was alive, she always cooked for me, now I want to cook it myself. . So today I want to share the recipe again if you need a new, strange dish.
In the past, my grandmother used to cook for me with the flavors of Pineapple Leaf, Butterfly Pea Flower, and Purple Sweet Potato. So this time I try to do the same.
✨ Cake crust:
- 200g Glutinous rice flour
- To color the crust: I use pandan leaf juice/butterfly pea perfume / purple sweet potato/pumpkin
- Filtered water (for colors without colored water)
- 1 pinch of salt
I knead the dough and add water slowly until the dough is just right in my hand, neither too runny nor too dry. When you roll the ball, press it to a round shape without cracking. Depending on the type of glutinous rice flour, there will be different amounts of water. I make the crust first, then make the filling later to give the cake time to rest.

- Dried shrimp
- Onion
How to multiply
- My green beans are made from 1/2 of the bean curd with the skin on (the dream says that the beans with the shell are better than the ones with the skin on) so they have to be soaked the night before. In the morning, rinse the water several times to clean the bean pods.
- I steamed with a rice cooker, put the water below, the top is a steamer, so it cooks faster than an electric stove
- Red onion is cut into slices and then sauteed in oil until fragrant. When frying, add a pinch of salt to the oil so that the onions have a bit of a salty taste. Once it is golden brown, remove the comb, separate the oil & onions, the onions will be more crispy, the oil will continue to be used to stir-fry the dried shrimp.
- Dried shrimp, I soaked in boiling water to expand, put in the mill, grind not too fine, to eat clearly the taste of dried shrimp. Done, take the onion oil at first to stir-fry the ground dried shrimp until fragrant.
- At this time, the beans are cooked, take out the beans, use a pestle to crush them, then add the Dried Shrimps & fried onions & a little bit of onion oil. Should add a little salt. If it's too dry, add fried onion oil to increase the stickiness.
- Vo staff beans. Finish by wrapping the food wrap to prevent the dough from drying out.
- Now turn to roll the pie shell. When I add enough water to the crust, the cake will stand, but not melt. The dough ball is a little bigger than the filling, then use two hands to press it to flatten it, then put the dough in and use your hands to round the cake so that there is no excess or lack of dough, at this time it is also necessary to be gentle so that the filling does not get damaged. bellows.
Boil the cake: - I washed all the cakes and brought them to boil. When boiling, add a little oil to the water to prevent the cakes from sticking together. When the cake floats, it is cooked.
- When the cake is done, take it out and put it in a bowl of cold water to let the cake cool down, then remove it from the plate to prevent the cake from being mushy and not sticking together. (I tried to take it out and put it in an oiled dish, but the cake was both mushy and sticky even though the pot of boiling water had oil)
- Garnish with fried onions. When eating, dried shrimp makes the leftover filling, sprinkled on more delicious food.
