Green peas with egg dumplings and pork roast, traditional recipe with taste

I am here again to share with you another recipe that my grandmother used to cook 25 years ago and since then a few times a month I enjoy cooking it.
A simple recipe that anyone can cook, I will especially try to share with you some recipes where it is not necessarily necessary to follow the original recipe 100%, when cooking something I like to be creative to break the pattern, this can be a great feeling, like we have reinvented this dish.
Today I chose green peas to season with pork roast, but get creative and season with chicken (try not to use dried chicken) or even seafood, go with the flow and you're sure to make a recipe you'll be sure to jot down in a notebook to cook for your friends.
But let's not waste time and tell you the ingredients used for 3-4 servings:
Ingredient:
- 400 grams frozen green peas
- 1 onion (here you can put a bunch of green onion)
- 2 tbsp oil (you can use olive oil, we used sunflower oil)
- 1 tablespoon of sweet paprika
- 1 garlic
- 1 cube chicken seasoning
- 200 grams pork (we used pork chops, but we recommend using a pork with more fat)
- 1 carrot
- 100 ml tomato paste
- 50 grams chopped dill (we had chopped dill in the freezer, but you can use fresh dill)
- 1 tbsp honey (we used it in the roast for a great taste)
- salt
- spice
Dumplings with eggs:
- 1 egg
- 100 grams of flour
- salt
How to prepare:
For starters I decided to start with cooking the steak because it will take a bit longer, so I cut the steak into suitable pieces and then put it in a non-stick pan with a tablespoon of oil (in this pan you don't need to use a lot of oil) and about 200ml of water, put the lid over the pan and let it simmer.
We don't have time to take a break, so we dice the onion and fry it a bit in a deep pot, where we also cook the green peas until the end.
In the pot you will see besides the onion cubes and some yellow, those are pieces of chicken fat (we have some in the freezer and use them to give a sensational taste to the dish).
Put the onion, chicken fat to fry in the meantime and peel a carrot which we slice and add with the onion and fat.
After 5 minutes we'll add the green peas, the chicken seasoning cube along with the spices and tomato paste plus 150ml water, then let them simmer for 15 minutes.
I checked the roast and it's almost done I added a tablespoon of honey, minced garlic and spices, gosh I think I drove the neighbors crazy with the smell of this recipe, too bad by posting I can't convey the smell, hehe.
Ready to go to the next level, which is the preparation of the dumplings with egg and wheat flour, for this we used a bowl in which we put the egg and added the flour one by one until it formed a homogeneous composition, using a slotted spoon we formed each dumpling (you can make them as big as you want, we like them smaller) and cooked them with green peas.
