In this industrialized world where almost everything is at our fingertips, it is enough to go to the market, take a product we want from the shelf, pay for it and take it home. However, for some people this natural procedure seems to be a torture, because of their health conditions they must carefully observe the labels of each product they buy to avoid any food with traces of gluten or added sugar and dairy.
But there are also other types of people, you who read me for example, who like to replicate at home those flavors that we buy at the supermarket. For this reason today I want to share a simple but very tasty recipe, suitable for the whole family and especially for those who have problems in acquiring foods free of the aforementioned allergens or dangerous chemical additives.
Today we are going to make a delicious mayonnaise, that white and creamy sauce that you won't believe how easy and fast it can be made. I can assure you that after making your own mayonnaise you will not want to consume again the one sold in the supermarket, so let's get to work!
Ingredients (serving to fill a container with 500 grams of mayonnaise).
- 1 Egg.
- 陆 Lemon or 1 tablespoon of vinegar.
- 1 cup vegetable oil.
- Salt to taste.

- Blender.
Procedure:
Step 1:.
In the blender cup, place one egg and the juice of half a large lemon (or a whole lemon). If you prefer, you can add a tablespoon of vinegar to replace the juice of half a lemon.

Add salt to taste. If you prefer, you can include seasonings such as pepper or garlic powder.
Step 3:
Cover the blender beaker and run it on the lowest speed. After 10 seconds uncover the glass, add the oil slowly in a trickle. The more oil you add, the thicker the mayonnaise becomes (like the consistency of yogurt). If you like, adding less oil will also make the mayonnaise more liquid.
Now we have our mayonnaise, keep it in a preferably glass container in the refrigerator after consumption. As you can see, it looks the same as the ones sold commercially in the market. It will last a week although as tasty as it is I do not guarantee that it will last more than 24 hours without anyone tasting it.
