I went together with my friends Kevin and Aman as we explored Kobe, Japan. Our main mission was to try the famous Kobe steak and boy, did we have an unforgettable experience!
We made a reservation at the Royal Mouriya restaurant, and the moment we stepped in, we were transported to a world of culinary delight. The ambiante was warm and cozy, with an elegant touch (imagine an old school golden/wooden restaurant), setting the perfect mood for a steak dinner.
The menu was simple but impressive, featuring only the finest cuts of Kobe beef. We ordered the sirloin and filet cuts..
We were in for a real treat as the chef cooked our Kobe steaks right in front of us! He expertly seared the steaks to perfection, and then served each piece to us with a smile. The meat was juicy and tender, with a rich flavor that was simply out of this world. I love how he also suggest us every time he handed out every piece, what should we dip our steak or veggies into for the best complimented taste.
We paired our steaks with a glass of plum wine, which complemented the flavors perfectly. The wine was light and refreshing, balancing out the richness of the steak. It was the perfect pairing.
The service was exceptional as well, with friendly and attentive waiters who were always available to answer any questions we had.
The Royal Mouriya was a truly unique and unforgettable experience. From the food to the service, every aspect was outstanding. They also have a lot more locations with the Kobe niche from fancy restaurants to more affordable ones. If you're ever in Kobe, make sure to pay a visit to one of their restaurants. It's super oishi!
