The collage above is of the many different smoothies that I’ve made, over time —depending on ingredients I had in the fridge, my health needs at the moment and/or the mood I was in…
So, if you need a little boost to start your day, why not try this delicious, healthy & filling liquid meal?
As with everything else, the first step is to assemble your ingredients. I like the mix of fruits and veggie—this one that I made this morning had spinach, mixed berries, bananas, pineapple juice and a mix of super seeds: chia & flax seed!
Now, it’s time to push the button and blend. I use frozen blueberries 🫐 and strawberries 🍓 and add more juice, if needed, to get the slushy mix moving.
If you’re not feeling so great —like I was, when I had Lyme disease— try adding some Turmeric, an anti-inflammatory.
I, typically, do not have smoothies everyday, only when I need some extra energy and have the time. But, I like to make a little more than one glass — so I can share it, or have some more the following day.
Now, you’re ready to sit down and enjoy your healthy breakfast/brunch/lunch/whatever 😊
I served mine with half a croissant 🥐 kale and Greek yogurt dip, tomatoes 🍅 & olives 🫒
