🥦 Welcome to my Blog🥦
Today I join QOTW for season 10 where we are asked a question that seems easy but it is not What should we be eating to be healthy and vibrant? food is a subject to which we must pay close attention because in reality we are what we eat and when we do not have a balanced diet it affects our body and therefore our health.
Actually until a month ago my diet was not very healthy and I started to gain weight and health problems. I am a small and overweight person and I reached a point where I took the decision to change my eating habits combined with exercise because I had trouble breathing and many other symptoms, so I started to include in my diet some foods that during this month have been very useful for me.
The first thing I eliminated in my diet was to replace refined sugar with honey to reduce the amount of calories, another food that I changed in my breakfast is the arepa that is prepared with corn flour for whole wheat bread that I accompany with ham or paisa cheese recommended by a nutritionist to improve my health little by little the fiber that it contains helps digestion without abusing the amount of calories in my diet.
Oatmeal is a cereal that contains fiber. When I had medical tests done, the result was that I have high cholesterol and triclycerides, this cereal is proven to help reduce them along with all the benefits it has such as calcium, etc., thus purifying my body.
To improve my health I have included fruits and vegetables in my daily diet I replaced rice with vegetables and mixed salads dressed with olive oil I do not use mayonnaise or butter it is not easy to make these changes but they are necessary to improve my health since I changed my diet I feel much better I no longer feel so heavy my stomach is slowly getting less bloated of course this takes time but every day I am feeling better I am recovering my health for that reason I say that we are what we eat.
To help my health apart from changing my eating habits I simultaneously do physical activities such as walking I think both should go hand in hand I recommend eating oatmeal to replace refined sugar by thousand to reduce carbohydrates to improve health.
