It really must feel very different living with such a stable electrical service. Here, daily routines are often organized around the hours when electricity is available, so sometimes it is hard to imagine not having to constantly think about it.

At the same time, I think it is very wise to be prepared living in an earthquake zone. Experiences like that make us value even more the things we normally take for granted.
