Good morning friends from Needle Work Monday ❣️. I hope you are very well today 😃. I think that a long time ago I did not participate precisely on a Monday but literally this morning I did not sleep to present my project on time. Actually, I started this project last Saturday but for various reasons I had not had enough time to finish it until today, so I will share it with you. This is this lace top with straps at the neckline and double fabric in the the cups ❤️😃.

Creo que hace mucho no participaba precisamente un lunes pero literalmente esta madrugada no dormí para presentar mi proyecto a tiempo. En realidad, este proyecto lo comencé el sábado pasado pero por diversas razones no había tenido tiempo suficiente para terminarlo hasta hoy, así que lo compartiré con ustedes. Se trata de este top de encaje con tiras en el escote y tela doble en la parte de las copas ❤️😃.

In this part of the year my demand for private class work increases, so I go to work more days at the institute and this leaves me less time to sew. I was only able to cut the fabrics on the Friday before the celebration but I was too tired to sew that day, so I did it early Saturday before going (too late 😅😅😅😅).
En esta parte del año mi demanda de trabajo de clases particulares aumenta, por lo que voy más días a trabajar al instituto y esto me deja menos tiempo para coser. Recién pude cortar las telas el viernes antes de la marcha pero estaba muy cansada como para coser ese día, así que lo hice el sábado temprano antes de ir (demasiado sobre la hora 😅😅😅😅).
When I turned on the machine, I already realized that it did not sew quite well. I really don't know why this happens: I use it and it works fine, for a couple of days I leave it still and the next moment it breaks down. It took me about half an hour to get it ready, until I was able to get it to work. First I joined the pieces of the cups: one in lace fabric and the other in cotton fabric (to make sure that it did not show more than what I wanted to show 😂). I also added elastic on the inside for a better grip.
Al prender la máquina ya me di cuenta de que no cosía del todo bien. Realmente no sé por qué pasa esto: la uso y anda bien, por un par de días la dejo quieta y al momento siguiente se descompone. Ponerla a punto me tomó como media hora, hasta que pude hacer que funcione. Primero uní las piezas de las copas: una en tela de encaje y la otra en tela de algodón (para asegurarme de que no se viera más de lo que quería mostrar 😂). También añadí elástico en la parte de adentro para un mejor agarre.
For the bottom part I used a rectangle of the lace fabric at its maximum width. For this I took the measurement of the contour of my underbust and then I joined the ends.
Para la parte de abajo usé un rectángulo de la tela de encaje en su ancho máximo. Para esto tomé la medida del contorno de mi bajo busto y luego uní los extremos.
And here is the disaster part (which I already told in this post last week :-p). I think that in my eagerness to finish sewing quickly to be able to go to the celebration I did not realize that I had faced the fabrics badly and when I finished sewing everything ... ops, right cups, wrong side bottom 😭😭😭😭.
Y aquí la parte del desastre (que ya la conté en este post la semana pasada :-p). Creo que en mi afán de terminar rápido de coser para poder ir a la celebración no me dí cuenta de que había enfrentado mal las telas y cuando terminé de coser todo... ops, copas del derecho, parte de abajo del revés 😭😭😭😭.
My mother said that this was imperceptible, this fabric is very similar from the right side to the other side BUT there is someone who did perceive this error: ME. I refused to continue with the project like this and between that and the half hour I lost fixing the machine I had already run out of energy to undo and sew, so I left it like that and went to the celebration with any other T-shirt 😂.
Mi mamá dijo que esto era imperceptible, esta tela es muy parecida del derecho y del revés PERO hay alguien que sí percibía este error: YO. Me negué a continuar con el proyecto así y entre eso y la media hora que perdí arreglando la máquina ya me había quedado sin energía para descoser y coser así que lo dejé así y a la celebración fui con otra remera cualquiera 😂.
Well, this story goes back to last night when I had already gathered enough forces to undo everything and fix the mistake. When you sew straight-stitch stretch fabrics, stitches are so tiny that you really need patience to undo everything. But I did and so I was able to continue with the project. After this, I added an elastic underbust to make the garment fit better. In lingerie, the correct use of elastics is key so that everything sticks well to the body ❤️.
Bien, esta historia se remonta a la noche de anoche cuando ya había juntado suficientes fuerzas como para descoser todo y arreglar el error. Cuando coses telas elásticas con puntada recta se forman unas puntadas tan diminutas que de verdad necesitas paciencia para deshacer todo. Pero lo hice y así pude continuar con el proyecto. Luego de esto, añadí un elástico en el bajo-busto para que la prenda ajuste mejor. En lencería es clave el uso correcto de elásticos para que todo se pegue bien al cuerpo ❤️.
For the straps I chose to use wider elastic bands than I normally use. I bought these almost 6 months ago and only now use them 😂.
Para los breteles elegí usar unos elásticos más anchos de los que uso normalmente. Estos los compré hace casi 6 meses y recién ahora los uso 😂.
I wanted to add something distinctive so I cut part of the strap to add a hoop and then add more elastic. To be honest, I saw this idea precisely on a girl's bodice on the day of the march 😅.
Quería añadir algo distintivo así que corté parte del bretel para añadir una argolla y luego añadir más elásticos. Siendo sincera, esta idea la ví justamente en el corpiño de una chica el día de la marcha 😅.
Then I wanted to add something to the neckline, more straps to make it more detailed. For this I did a risky test by holding the elastics with pins AND PUTTING ON THE GARMENT to see how it would be hahaha. I can't explain to you how much I pricked myself doing this but I needed to see that the measurements I had cut out for the strips were correct 😂.
Luego, quería agregar algo en el escote, más tiras para hacerlo con más detalles. Para esto hice una arriesgada prueba sujetando los elásticos con alfileres Y PONIENDOME LA PRENDA para ver como quedaba jajaja. No puedo explicarles todo lo que me pinché haciendo esto pero necesitaba ver que las medidas que había recortado para las tiras eran las adecuadas 😂.
Once everything was in order, I joined all the elastics with a straight stitch. In this part it is very important to check the symmetry of the strips so that nothing is twisted or one is longer than the other 😅.
Una vez que estuvo todo en orden, uní todos los elásticos con puntada recta. En esta parte es muy importante verificar la simetría de las tiras para que nada quede torcido o uno más largo que el otro 😅.
And... tarannnnnn. Today around 3.30 AM I had this garment finished and that's how it turned out 😂❤️.

Finishing this garment made me proud. It is really cute and elegant, but now I have a problem and it is that I do not know in what context I would use it. For the celebration where everyone wore clothes like that on the street it would have been fine, but now I have doubts because it was like a mixture of underwear and a T-shirt, so on what occasion would I wear it? 😂
Terminar esta prenda me hizo sentir orgullosa. Es realmente linda y elegante, pero ahora tengo un problema y es que no sé en que contexto la usaría. Para la celebración donde todo el mundo usaba ropa así en la calle hubiese estado bien, pero ahora tengo dudas porque quedó como una mezcla de ropa interior y remera, entonces, ¿en qué ocasión la usaría? 😂
While I was deciding this, my cat kept me company behind the scenes. I don't know why cats see something on the floor or table and have to go sit on it. This happens all the time 😂.
Mientras yo decidía esto, mi gato me hacía compañía en el detrás de escena. No sé por qué los gatos ven algo en el suelo o en la mesa y ya tienen que ir a sentarse encima. Esto pasa todo el tiempo 😂.
On the other hand, I would like to invite / remind to all my fellow needleworkers about the video call meetings that are organized on the first Monday of each month. Finally I was able to participate in the one that was organized in this month of November and it was very funny and strange to see and hear our mates 
Por otro lado, quisiera invitar/recordar a todos mis compañeros de needlework sobre las reuniones por videollamada que se organizan los primeros lunes de cada mes. Finalmente pude participar de la que se organizó en este mes de noviembre y fue muy gracioso y extraño ver y oir a las compañeras
