The reality is always different from what is shown in the photo. There are many manipulations done to make the photo look good. That doesn't mean badly. The manipulation aims to make the consumer enjoy the photo work.
Before Manipulation
That also happened to some of my food photos. Sometimes there are foods or drinks that I make that have bad colors to be photographed. I also have to do tricks to make the food look good in the photo.
Relax, it just takes a little touch of creativity and you will save your bad photos for the better.
Manipulating Plain Ice Cream Looks
This is not a recipe mistake. I did make homemade banana ice cream mixed with Butterfly Pea Flowers water. We know the color of the banana is not bright. I had suspected from the start that the color results of the product would not be beautiful and would not be artsy the next time I took a picture.
I wanted to eat banana ice cream at that time, so I still decided to make the ice cream even though the color wouldn't be good.

After the ice cream in the box mold was ready to be served, then I thought of looking for ways to manipulate this ice cream to be more interesting.
So I decided to make a homemade cone. I made a cone from the outer skin of the lemon. Aha, it is a pretty shape and has a bright color. I think it's a brilliant decision!
PROCESS
- Preparing a Lemon Outer Skin
Cut a lemon in half. I use a hand orange juicer to get the inside out of the lemon.
- Arranging the Ice Cream into a Contain
Okay, time to stack the ice cream into a cone. Scoop out the ice cream, then carefully arrange the outer skin of the lemon.
I use about 2 scoops of ice cream to put on the outer skin of the lemon.
- Beautify Ice Cream Colors with Natural Dyes
Butterfly Pea Flowers Water
Butterfly Pea Flowers Water is still needed at this step. I added some water drops straight away with Butterfly Pea Flowers.
Be careful not to not giving too much the Butterfly Pea Flowers water into ice cream because it will make ice cream be melt.
Then add a touch of detail by adding a Butterfly Pea Flowers on the edge of the ice cream.
Done. Homemade Banana and Butterfly Pea Flowers ready to shoot!
