Signing up for and battling in tourneys as a silver league player

I started playing the game less than a month ago but I quickly became really fond of it and decided that I should devote whatever fee time I have (which is not much) to getting better at it, and progressing up the ladder as much as my investment allows it. So apart from grinding games in Silver at a higher rating, I have found signing up for tournaments to be really useful (and actually not that scary at all unlike tournaments in other types of games 😁) in order to see what strategies real people (everyone knows there are a ton of bots in ranked play 😜) employ in a competitive setting, and hopefully learn from them.

So here's a fast recap of the 3 tourneys I played in over the weekend.

The first one was the Champions of Chaos tourney. This one was rather hard for me even though its level was novice as people could use all types of cards while my collection at the moment is limited to mostly Chaos legion. So I got 42nd place and a total of 5 DEC as a reward. Hey, better than nothing, having in mind the entry fee was 35 DEC. 😛

This GAME was one of the more entertaining ones I played in this tourney.

The 2nd tourney I took part in was the SplinterMammoth DEC Tournament. I got to round 4 of 8, where I faced against a dude with 650,000 power, and even though I managed to take the first match, I lost 1:3. Regardless my score of 7:4 placed me 23rd in the tourney so I got 30 DEC with an entry fee of 1 DEC. 😀

This GAME was one of the fun ones.

Last but not least was the Beginner's Tourney X Giveaway with an entry fee of 50 DEC. I actually like this one the most since it is a Bronze tourney where no legendaries can be played and the only Chaos Legion and Reward cards are allowed. So the playing field is pretty even. I got 14th place in this tourney (which is my highest placing so far) and 50 DEC, which paid off the entry fee. 😁

This GAME was pretty close and entertaining. 😎
