When you win Victory Royale you get a victory crown. If you are eliminated you drop your crown, and other players can pick it up to go on to win again with it. I have won three times in a row!
The End event was absolutely insane- it was everything I could have hoped for and more. The storyline continues from when the invasion happened and we blew up the mothership. In the aftermath cubes had fallen from the ship. The cube queen summoned them from across the map into the center. Assembling the cubes she constructed a large pyramid and when the countdown began I did not expect what happened next.
She used the Pyramid to open a portal, pulling back the sky to reveal the "final reality". Numerous motherships as large as the entire map are seen beyond the now receding filament.
An even bigger invasion, with a fleet of abductor crafts descending while simultaneously ground enemies like caretakers advanced very quickly. I didn't have time to take too many screencaps but it was a tough battle. A blue cube offered some shield protection at the beginning but it was taken out and eventually, shattered by the enemies. I was knocked down and revived by a player, but then the saucers abducted our weapons. We were saved by the Seven...
The Foundation, who held on to the zero point at the top of the central spire 2 seasons ago, and was abducted by the mothership before we blew it up, shows up just in time to save Jonesy from being permanently uploaded into the loop. He is also revealed to be Dwayne Johnson. They lead us through the center of the island after deactivating the stabilization gyroscope, and I stopped to take a picture of this control screen showing the angle of the entire island, rotating.
A caretaker broke the window and we floated to the surface, adrift in the ocean as we see the entire island nearly sideways in the sky. As the cube queen and her portal collide with the water we hear a scream and a large explosion, and two large spacecraft get blown up as the whole island is washed clean. We briefly see the new horizon as it completes it's flip, before a tidal wave hits us and we remained adrift for almost a day and a half. When we saw the new map it was such a surprise.
This is the Season 1 map
and it appears to be at least 2x bigger, can anyone confirm exactly how much bigger it is this?
The launch island is 3111m from the snowy side of the island, but I can easily just look for myself.
The width of the island is roughly 2488m which is definitely bigger than the last map. If you are not careful it is easy to get caught in the storm, which seems to advance very quickly in early rounds and slower in later rounds. There is so much stuff in this map it is going to take a while to explore.
When the snow melts this map will bloom just like spring, and a new area will thaw...
