I recently did a post about the red rocks park in Colorado. More specifically about the red rocks amphitheater which you can see here. The amphitheater is only one part of the park but there is more to see there. We had some time so we decided to take a short trail in the area too.
The trail is called the Trading Post Trail. No, I have no idea why it's called that, maybe there was a trading post at some point in history 😅. It's an easy route and is 1.4 miles long. Takes about 40 minutes to complete.
On this trail, you can see many cool-looking red rock formations. Many of these have names. For example, the one in the photo below is called a Titanic rock because it looks like a Titanic that is halfway sunk below the water line.
This one looks quite similar to Titanic Rock.
It's a bit of a shame that we did have an overcast weather. Photos would have been more interesting with sunny or at least partly cloudy weather but what are you gonna do... Cant choose the weather or time to visit places when traveling.
Enjoy more photos from this cool trail!
If you ever visit Red Rocks Park near Denver then it is definitely worth it to take this short and easy trail too besides seeing the amphitheater. Those rock formations are really interesting to see. I had never seen rocks like that so I enjoyed this hike!
Don't forget to participate in my monthly weather guessing game here and you might win 10 HIVE. The game is open until the 17th of July.
